Other good teams don't suck on the road like we do
Just some other KenPom stats regarding past NCAAT champions...
Since 2002, each eventual champion was ranked top 25 on KenPom going into the tourney, not a real big surprise. To narrow the list down even further, teams were ranked top 80 in adjO AND top 60 in adjD. Looking at the numbers as of today, that's everyone in the current KP top 25 ( UC is #20 btw) besides Oklahoma State ( adjD of #122), Michigan ( adjD #86), and UCLA ( adjD #88).
On an average basis, past champions have ranked top 13 adjO and top 19 adjD. Looking at teams in the top 25 that meet this "law of averages" that gives you Gonzaga and Villanova, with UNC and Kansas just outside of that adjD #19.

Which champions weren't Top 40 in both?
But it's not on the road. You have no data to back this up.
Which teams we NOT top 40 in both pre-tourney? None.
KP's numbers say for the team to win it all they have to end the season ( so, after winning it all) with a top 40 adjO and adjD number.
If they ranked 22-39 in either adjO or adjD, they have to had finished top-10 in the other.
UNC in '09 was #1 adjO and #39 adjD.
UCONN in '14 was #58 adjO and #12 adjD.
Duke in '15 was #3 adjO and #37 adjD.
Those three teams are the only champions since '02 to have PRE-TOURNEY rankings close to not fitting the bill. UCONN finished the year in 2015 ranked #39 in adjO and #10 adjD.

Not sure where else to post this. Maybe for next season, we have a separate forum for articles written about UC?
Some interesting points in there. Specifically, how loyal Mick is, mentions how he has never welcomed a 5th-year grad transfer (much to my chagrin) and how the assistants haven't changed in seven seasons. I see the point of saying those things, consistency wise, but man I would love a grad transfer to come to UC because he thinks he's the missing piece to a deep March run. After this, makes it sound like Mick won't allow it.

If it isn't at fifth third it's a road game, you guys were talking a month ago about winning out hmmm how did that work out? I said 3 losses and we've lost 2 and will probably lose one in the conference tourney. I'm the one that uses my head instead of my heart, would I love for UC to win the national title absolutely but it's NOT going to happen... get your heads out of the clouds

Way to go out on a limb and say they aren't going to win it all.

"Road" game doesn't mean what you apparently think it means. A road game isn't any game not at 5/3. Did we play a road game at US Bank vs XU however many years back that was?
You don't get to change the definition of road game to fit what you want it to be.
Don't think I've seen one person say they are going to win it all.
I know what it means but I'm making a point If we don't have our crowd and our students watching us then no it's a road game and 5,000 people if that at a tourney game is not enough. If our team is not jacked up on hype and stuff we don't play as good
