The ACC is a great fit right now... I am just worried that all the good football programs will be gone by the time we get there.
The Big 12 is going to have to get back to 12, we know the Big Ten is going to take at least two more, and there's a good chance the SEC will go to 16 as well. That's 6 schools, all of which are likely to be poached from the ACC.
The Big 12 is very obviously targeting Miami and FSU, and would probably settle for Clemson as well. UNC, Virginia, and Georgia Tech are all targets of the Big Ten, and I'm sure the SEC would love to get their hands on UNC as well. If UNC goes to the Big Ten, the SEC could target NC State, with Virginia Tech being a likely target as well. Take most or all of those schools out of the ACC and what are you left with? The old Big East. I suppose it's better than where we are now, but whatever version of the ACC we join will likely be gutted.
