Next years team

I could see our team next year looking a lot like Dayton last season. They were very deep and had no stars, but got contributions from 10+ guys. We have a little more size but Dayton had more experience. I will be shocked if anyone averages more than 30 minutes next season.

I would love to see this lineup:

PG Capuain
SG Cobb
SF Thomas
PF Ellis
C DeBerry

Will Parker be halping out again this year? Or was he just finishing his degree and moving to play overseas or something?

Im pretty sure he will back, hopefully he stays for the long haul I love when former players return shows how much mick cares for them and they care for hi

Yes that would be nice. The biggest competition will be between Cobb and Kevin johnson. Both very good players. Also between sanders and Ellis I hope Ellis starts too

Is it anyway Mick don't start a SR? Its possible but I don't see it happening. I don't want them to start but IT'S NO WAY IN HELL we make tournament if one of the two isn't our most improved player.

I would rather our young 4 year players beat out the Jucos. Guys like Johnson, Moore, Clark, Mormon, or Strickland. I doubt it will happen that way...but that is what I would love to see.

I see Cobb as more of the Tony Bobbit or Field Williams type of role. I like KJ or Morman at the two because of their ability to score at all levels (Morman needs to work on his perimeter shooting game) but more importantly their ability to defend. You dont guard you dont play at Cincinnati. I have no idea about Cobb's defensive abilities but I know about Morman's and KJ's. I think KJ gets the nod at the 2.

We do have 3 JUCO transfers coming in, so I don't think Sanders or Guyn necessarily has to make a huge jump if the JUCOs are ready to start from the beginning. I expect Guyn to be much improved with a healthy shoulder though. I don't think Sanders will make a huge leap, but he may thrive at times playing the 4 in a small line-up.

Do we want our top 2 PG starting? And top 2 instant offense/3pt guards off the bench? I figured it'd be GG/Troy at PG but Guyn starting bc he is a SR ad Troy getting more minutes like last year (maybe even some 2). Then KJ/Cobb/Morman as SG and whoever doesnt start between KJ/Cobb can be instant offense off the bench. Also, it'd be nice to bring Troy in off the bench to pick up the pace a little if Guyn isnt running things well. Idk. That's just how I imagined it.

looks like TC has grown in some updated pics, would that change if he is 6-5 next year, if so to a 2 or 3?

He's the most natural point guard on the team, regardless of how tall he ends up. He may share the floor with Guyn next year, but the offense will be his to run his last 2 years.

I just can't consider Guyn a point guard at this point. He will only be in the starting line up because of his defense and experience. Hopefully he can at least become a consistent outside shooter. TC, Cobb, and Guyn will all rotate at PG depending on who is on the court. Cobb and Guyn will see minutes at the 2 as well.

I see what you're saying, but I see both GG and TC playing 25+ minutes a game next year and the only way I see that is if they both start. KJ hasn't really played a ton of minutes yet, so I would be surprised to see him start. Also starting 2 point guards is becoming a lot more common. The last 2 national champions would be good examples.

If TC is 6'5 he just turned himself into lock for 1st rd. Don't see how he stays 3more yrs with that height and length. His still amongst youngest on team he's going to be scary good by time he leaves.
