Octavius Ellis

My question is why is it important. I'm curious?

It is a strange situation. He was with the team for 3.5 years...so when he just suddenly isn't around anymore, as a fan of the program, I'd like to gain a better understanding of what exactly went on there.

Another Joe Danneman tweet:

Octavius Ellis on last night's ejection: "Just trying to box out. A physical box out. I guess I caught him because he's so tall..It was a basketball play to me and everybody else, but people have their reasons."

Come on Ellis you clearly look right at him

I think thats fair with Guyn, can you imagine going through what he had to go though this year, it would be awful to lose your senior year like that. I could understand him working on his school to open his possibilities in case his scholarship isnt there, he does need to graduated. Moore was celebrating on the bench last night but I think he seems like a quieter guy. Moore btw is in the celebratory video just off screen so you cant see him as much, he did not pour water on the coach however :p

Didn't leave sit

I agree about the degree. I'm not diminishing the value of that. But the fact that he wasn't on the bench for months and didn't participate in Senior Day bc he was granted his release makes me think there was more to it than that.
He was granted release? called it last year guyn doesn't play this year

i understand your curiosity but speculating on the matter isn't going to gain you knowledge it is only going to lead to more speculation. If he wanted it public he would have made it public.

Seems to me that a big step for him would be having the maturity to admit when he loses his temper. Continuing to downplay every incident just seems like denial to me. Gonna be hard to turn the corner when dealing with his emotions if he can't be honest about what happened.

Pointing out that he wasn't on the bench and was granted his release is not speculation.

I'm guessing mick was honest with guyn and told him he needed to graduate so he could play elsewhere next year because their was no scholarship for him here next here. He probably said well if this isn't my team next year then it's not my team now and quit coming to games. Just speculation on my part.

Watch the press conference with Larry Davis. He was pretty vehement on how he feels about Octavius Ellis. (I believe it is around the 12 minute mark).
