And if it wasn't for the Senior leadership of a guy that Calipari didn't even recruit (Darius Miller) they'd still looking for a title and Cal's seat would be very hot right now.

Can we just give McDermott the Wooden Award already? I think Creighton could be upset early in the tournament though if they run into a long, athletic team.

Cincinnati vs Creighton is a game a lot of people around the country want to see. I think UC is a much better team than last year and Creighton lost the big dude from Rutgers. It would be an amazing game. Rubles did about as good a job as you can on McDermott but that kid is simply a scoring machine.

I could see a 4/5 or 3/6 game with a spot in the Sweet 16 on the line. It would be a very good game. I'm just surprised how many fans around the country, including our own, forget just how close last year's game was. SK had a 3 rim out with 8 seconds left that would have tied the game. In regards to this potential matchup I keep seeing things like... Creighton would kill them again. Huh?

The only people I've heard say that are Xavier fans. To be fair though, they kind of gave the game up a bit at the end. I recall a few turnovers and missed FT's that kept UC in the game. The brutal flagrant (and then Thomas missed both FT's) comes to mind.

I don't remember much besides the flagrant. And that was deserved. You aren't allowed to clear space by throwing high elbows into other peoples faces.

LOL, just took a quick glance at the UK forums. Man, they have thrown the Harrison twins so far under the bus...

They got spoiled by Davis and MKG. Those two played like upperclassmen from day one and that's the level of play they've expected from every 5-star recruit since. Cal needs to start mixing in more 4-year guys or at least start going after more transfers. I wonder what happened to all the 40-0 t-shirts?

From the Creighton game, I remember pulling within one or so and SK getting a technical for smacking a towel on the floor. We had all the momentum, and shortly after Creighton went on a mini run.

Don't remember much from that game but that still infuriates me everytime I see Creighton. To make that call in a regular season game would be bad enough, but in a heated battle during the NCAA Tournament? That's just brutal.

Outside of the National Title year, Kentucky has been awful on the road in the SEC. I guess that is what happens when you have a bunch of freshman...

The game wasnt as close as the final score. UK hits 3-4 three pointers, one a bogus bank shot, in the last 90 secs made it look better than it was.

Chris Walker just got eligible for Florida, I think that puts them in the group with Arizona and Syracuse as the favorites for the Title.

They still have to find a way to get past the Elite 8. In the last three years they have blown late 2nd half leads to Bulter/Louisville and last year they didn't even come to play against Michigan. Very talented roster though. I think they'll at least get to the Elite 8 once again. They are one of the programs that you can trust in your bracket.

Penn State takes down OSU at OSU in overtime. Newbill for PSU (who played great) nailed a midrange jumper over Craft with two seconds left.

OSU desperately needs to come up with some big wins, and their best chances will be on the road. Their résumé right now is terrible, with their best wins being Maryland, Marquette, Illinois, and Notre Dame... None of those teams appear tournament bound.

Some good 9:00 games tonight too with Arizona in a tight battle with Stanford and Kansas up on Iowa State early.

Ohio State's collapse has been surprising. I knew they weren't top 5-8 good because of their UC-like offense but I really think they are looking at a double digit seed in the NCAA tournament. That is shocking.

With two wins this week we would definitely move into the top 10. KY loses, OK ST loses, and of course we would knock off a top team in UL.

If we beat UL I would think we deserve to be a top 10 team. I am getting way ahead of myself though...since our odds of winning are fairly low. But man...these Bearcats have SO freaking much to play for it's tough to say how fired up we come out.

The gloves come off...predictions out the door. I think Cronin has his team ready...but is it good enough?

At this point it is obvious that both teams are good and will come out fired up and ready to play. I believe it will all come down to execution and if either team can avoid mistakes. Both teams will know what the other is gonna bring. Just gotta come out and play!

Loved that Craft had game winning shot made against him, then didn't even get shot off as time expired, tried to be fancy and dribbled too much.

OSU's next two games are at Wisconsin and Iowa, doesn't get easier for OSU.

Northwestern is up by 12 points on the road at the Kohl Center against Wisconsin. Crazy how top B1G teams are falling to the bottom dwellers...
