Thais would be pretty solid if this occurred. That would be 78 ppg we were at about 73 last year. Would like to get that to about 80. We quietly lose 21 points between cobb and ellis. Then another 12 from shaq deberry.

I'm hoping for kyle to be in double digits at 10 or even 11. I also expect troy above 15 5 and 5

Evans has the ability to match troy with 15-16 a game but that's a huge jump from last year, he is capable tho. Does he make this jump is the question. I believe either him or Gary make a big jump in scoring this season

The question mark is kj and cumberland does Kevin make that senior year jump or does jarron live up to hype. If one of them step up our starting five is top 15 good.

I would say this is very reasonable.

Yikes! Only 66 points per game?

Sounds about right to me, I don't see how this team increases it's point output over last season considering we're losing Ellis and Cobb.

Too many unknowns, not enough depth, and poor coaching on the offensive end of the basketball doesn't add up for me.

Ellis will hurt us defensively not offensively. We can have 5 guys who can spread the floor. Something we couldn't do last year

Ellis jumper was better than shaq lol. Only thing about spreading floor you need a guard to get into paint. We don't have one person in starting 5 that can get into paint score or pass

Jarron Cumberland will be that guy eventually.

also I believe Evans can drive as well. Last year we always had 2 guys down low, the driving lanes were closed and thus made us really predictable. This coming season, Washington can hit jump shots and so can clark. It should make it a lot easier

Doesn't matter much to me if none of them can shoot consistently. I'm hoping for a big increase in output from Evans and Clark but I think the lack of quality depth and movement in general in Mick's offense will lead to similar struggles we've seen in years past. As bad as Shaq Thomas was I'm not sure who else on our roster replaces his 6 ppg and I don't see anyone replacing the output we got from DeBerry.

I think it's a little far fetched to expect this year's team to increase upon what was one of the better offensive seasons we've seen from Mick's squads. Hopefully I'm wrong about that but I tend to be a realist.

Cumberland get 6ppg from free throw line evey game. Its cobb production we need to get from kj and jj.

Haven't seen Cumberland play in person. But if he can give us 6 PTS a game from the FT line that is huge, not only from the points aspect but he will be getting other teams players in foul trouble early and often. Do you see him as capable of giving us the kind of year we got from Evans his freshman year?

I saw him play @ Cintas.

He is built like a linebacker and because that, just muscles his way to the rim and gets fouled a lot.

Really would love to see him play 20 minutes and be our primary driver

Yes, and last season it was Jenifer who was going to lead us to the promised land.

Every off season it's the same thing, our freshman are going to be all americans, our guys are getting swoll in the training rooms, and Mick is going to adjust our style of play. I doubt we'll get 6ppg from the FT line out of Cumberland. I've seen the guy play in person multiple times and he's not all that impressive. He dominated scrawny D4 kids in the state of Ohio and held his own against some of the better D1 teams but I don't see him as a true impact freshman. He has a lot of potential but he lacks the raw shooting ability of a guy like Kilpatrick.

I hope by his Jr year he's one of the best slashers in our conference but I don't anticipate he's going to make much of an impact this season. I think he scores 6 or 7/game just out of the necessity of having him on the floor, he's most likely our 6th man to start the year.

PS - not to mention I don't even think our entire team averaged 6 FT attempts/game last season (kind of joking but not really joking)
