I think regardless of the outcomes of today's games (and Sunday's which apparently have little to no impact on the seeding). Cincinnati will be a 4 seed in the midwest region with a chance to play the Sweet 16 in Indianapolis. I hope we get St. Louis or Oklahoma as the 5 seed in the region.

What are your predictions??

I also think we will get the 4 seed in the Midwest.

I just hope we don't see an underachieved North Carolina or Michigan St. as the 5 seed.

If we do get the 4 seed I'd hope we see St. Louis or Ohio St. As the 5. They don't scare me.

No idea the region, but I think we're a firm 4. A 3 is definitely a stretch and I don't think we hurt ourselves enough to fall to a 5.

Barring some surprise conference tournament champions (UConn, UCLA, Ohio St, Kentucky) I think we hang on to a 4 seed. I'm already convinced that we'll end up with 5 seed that will be favored should we meet. I'll go with North Carolina as our possible 2nd round opponent.

I'd almost rather have a 4 seed if we were guaranteed to have Wichita St in our region as the 1.

They haven't played a defense like ours and I think they would crap their pants during the game.

Dream scenario, UC gets the 4 seed in the Midwest, beat either St. Louis or Oklahoma in 2nd round, shut down Wichita St. in the Sweet 16 then beat 2 seeded Villanova in the Elite 8 to go to the Final 4 for the first time in 22 years.

Hey a guy can dream right?!

Don't think you've seen much of Wichita State this year, they are a better version of Cincinnati in that they have an excellent defense and an efficient offense. Same goes for Florida and Arizona. I would much rather take my chances with the 4th #1 seed (Wisconsin, Michigan, Villanova, etc). However it looks like we'll probably end up with Wichita in the Midwest...

I think his point is that they're untested, really. Yeah, statistically their O and D are great, but only at that level of competition. Who knows how they would react to a swarming defense like ours. Nobody knows.

Their efficiency numbers are adjusted for level of competition.....

They have seen a defense like ours - St. Louis.

Wichita State is legit. Everyone keeps ripping them for their schedule, yet it is very similar to Louisville's SOS. I'll be very surprised if Wichita State goes out before the Elite 8.

yea not a chance in hell they get a 3. they were a 4 going into the ACC tourney, barely beat UCF and looked like shit in a losing effort vs. UConn. If we hold onto a 4 I'll be happy but I predict a 5.

I think they are legit, but they are unproven compared to the other number 1s. I would rather play them than Arizona, that's for sure. I think they would beat us, but it at least would be entertaining, IMO. I just hope we get a shot at Indy, that would be great for our fans (especially this fan, who happens to have tickets to Indy already! :))

In a perfect world, I'll take the Midwest Region as a #4 seed with Ohio State as a #5 seed (I want revenge from 2 years ago, plus I think we can beat them) and Villanova as the #1 seed. However, Wichita State will be the #1 seed in the Midwest. I would rather play them than Florida, but still a very tough matchup.

I don't think St. Louis will be a 5. They've really fallen off the last couple weeks. I assume we'll be a 4 and hopefully in Indy.

Rather not play Ohio State, they are a really good defensive team. I would much rather play a good offensive team that plays at a quick pace but not much defense. I'll take a matchup with a team like UCLA, Oklahoma, even Creighton or Iowa State. I would also include St. Louis just because they are really stumbling down the stretch.

Guys I'm sorry but I think UC will be the last 4 seed. I think they will be a 4 seed and be shipped West or South. They have stumbled to close the season. Two consecutive loses to UConn looks bad. I want Villanova (who I think will be a 2 now) or Wichita St. I think the Shockers are going to get upset in the second round. At some point the law of averaged catches up to you.

New poster long time lurker. I think we are a 5 unfortunately. I also see a nightmare scenario where UL ends up a 1. I was really hoping we could send UL packing with their tails between their legs. Maybe they will lose I. The first round of ncaa

I don't see that happen really in any way. Lunardi had them as a 4 before the game tonight. He's not perfect, but that's a HUGE jump. I still see Michigan, Nova, Duke, and Kanses ahead of them. Maybe they pass one of them and end up a 2.

Louisville should be the 4th 1 seed, I think they'll end up getting a 2 seed though and the 1 seed in that bracket being really pissed.
