MAW tweet. Does the mouth zipped emoji mean the players have heard something? If so, it should be leaking out soon. The 100 seems to indicate he is committed to staying at Cincinnati regardless of who is coach (or he knows Brannen is staying).

Who knows at this point, I'm hoping for a news drop today though. Everyone seems to be expecting Brannen to be gone and we even had a more national reporter tweet that he is hearing that Brannen is gone (then he deleted the tweet). If we are getting rid of him lets go, I'm tired of waiting.

At this point I don't care anymore, if Brannen is gone, just do it so we can get someone in here and start getting some guys, if he is staying say he is staying and get out there and recruit. Just make a decision and lets go.

I don't know if the rumor is true or not, it seems weird that he would post that, a lot of people saying its not accurate, but then James White and Dermar Johnson are saying today should be interesting for bearcat fans. Another thing that strikes me as odd is JB literally had a virtual meeting with David Collins from USF yesterday afternoon and Bryson Spell just committed. This whole situation is just so odd and just an absolute mess.

It’s clear something is going to happen. Way too much smoke for it to be a rumor in my opinion

If JB out. Which likely at this point.

Cunningham better have the next guy lined up ready to go. We are wasting time. Much needed time to get a jump start on the portal.
 
Beliene would be my number 1, dream hire. I doubt he would but he could come in and make an impact right away. Even if he’s only here for 3 years, he’d get the program back on its feet.

Pass. I mean I get it. But he is damn near 70.

Bryce? Archie? I think I want demaar on the bench at this point.

Archie doesn’t interest me. Bryce doesn’t either. Beliene would be short term but would have respect right away. Would be able to get players this year.
 
I want a guy who is willing to stay long term. We saw with Brannen how quickly a new hire can burn an established program down.

I want a guy who considers UC to be his number one job and isn't looking to move on. Someone who is willing to stay for 10-15 years (assuming we are willing to keep him). I know that's difficult, but it's not impossible.
 
Maybe the rumors have been started by other coaches who are using the uncertainty CJB and staff as a negative recruiting tactic. I cannot understand why UC has not spoken on this topic. One way or the other, this has impacted recruiting.

Would guess legal reasons. Would assume the cause needs to get sured up
 
Like the rest of the off-season, I have absolutely no idea what is going on and none of it makes any sense to me.

If we fire him and don't come back with a known name, this place is going to be a graveyard next year.


But I also said a while back if we are going to let him go this year or next year, you do it this year. Get somebody in here that can go after the local talent thats in the state the next couple years.

that’s huge also if he has ties to local talent. Next 3-4yrs you got some McDonald’s all Americans in city
 
An investigation has now been formally announced by UC

"The University of Cincinnati, in conjunction with independent fact finders, will commence a review of allegations related to its men’s basketball program. Director of Athletics John Cunningham stated, “The University has always put the welfare of its student-athletes first. We feel this is an essential step to ensure that all of our athletic programs meet the highest standards.”
 
We're just now starting a review? Any coach or player worth having will be gone by the time they make a decision.

colossal failure on the part of Cunningham. No matter what the decision is now, he just ended out entire offseason.
