The lack of depth on next year's roster is kinda scary. Mick needs to land a grad transfer or a kid coming out of junior college.

Troy
KJ/Cumberland
Evans
Clark
Washington

Bench of Tre Scott, Jenifer, Moore, Brooks. That doesn't give me much confidence if the starting five get in foul trouble.

Exactly my concerns as well. We have to assume an injury will occur too. I don't see us getting a grad transfer. For some reason I don't see us being a destination that extracts the grad transfers. I know I keep saying it but all the coaches need to step up their game. Time for Mick to earn his pay and step up recruiting. I can't stand being out recruited by Xavier.

The loss is hard to take, and frustrating, but by and large I thought they played well enough to win in each of the last 2 games. Last night Mick had to send Quadri out in the 1st half because Shaq wasn't available and Clark was nearly useless on his ankle. The Shaq injury hurt from a defensive standpoint - look at all the mismatched defenders Mick had to throw at Bembry - and the Clark injury took it's toll on both ends.

They shot over 50% from the field, hit 10 three pointers, 10-13 from the line, only 9 turnovers, outrebounded by 1...lost. Just been that kind of year.

Lost in the aftermath was the superb game our freshman played. Jacob Evans stepped up big when his team needed him. A ray of light in the darkness that was 2015-2016.

Yes, there are depth concerns heading into next year. Need a shooter. And so forth. But there are positives to build on. Once I remove my clasped hands from behind my head and get over the feeling that God hates Cincinnati, I'll be looking forward to the offseason in recruiting and watching this group play next year. I like every kid on that team and desperately want each of them to be successful. Hopefully, they want that too and are willing to work for it.

So frustrated this AM, you just know .1-.3 ran off when St Joes shot went through, all the difference in the world

They desperately need to. I think the coaches know that too.

We need Cronin & staff to land some much needed depth and talent in the post, pg, and on the wing. There's a good core coming back, but if kj and Jenifer are being counted on as more than role players we're going to struggle. Rounding out the incoming class and 2017 is vital. I'm excited about Cumberland and Washington, but they are still unknowns.

Im excited to see these guys next season. We aren't far away. Our core group of players got some crazy experience this year.

I'm normally so bitter after season ending losses, but there's nothing to be ashamed of with this group imo. We have some real hoopers. I just feel bad for the SRs.

I'd love to snag a grad transfer big for next year, we have a lot of question marks in the post outside of Clark.

Mick's coaching from the time we got a 3 point lead until the end of the game was miserable. Three straight possessions where our offense was to run one on one street ball with Jacob Evans. I'd say Mick had everything to do with the loss, it's his team and his players.

Yes that is your opinion, but he was also limited with his personnel due to injuries.

I want to preface this statement with the fact that I've been a loyal, unwavering Bearcat fan for 30 plus years. Good, bad, ugly and everything in between.

That being said, I am done with Mick Cronin and this pathetic brand of basketball. This was his most talented team on paper in ten years and I've never witnessed a more inept, clumsy, and brutal season of Bearcats basketball ever. Just so ugly. And it all starts at the top with Mick. I've thrown the guy all my support but I can't support his philosophies anymore. This brand of basketball is like a Soviet era relic ( aka old Big East), essentially Cronin has turned us into a GCL-esque NCAA squad. I don't know if the guy is trying to let his stupid old man live vicariously through him with all this mundane, old-school thought process. I don't get it. And before any little snot nosed Bearcat fans jump on me, Cronin has been on easy street for years. He deserves criticism and a lot of it. He's coaching his alma mater in his own backyard, making 7 figure salary, has all his family at the games, has little resistance from the administration, boosters, fans or media. He even says so himself. Get's to hold court and talk about his daughter and other non basketball matters ad nauseum. He has a lot to answer for this year IMO. His behavior and coaching this year were totally unacceptable for Bearcat basketball. I mean this in all seriousness; I think he needs to be evaluated medically. The guy is out of touch and getting a bit batty. I can't believe our fanbase wasn't in more of an uproar this year. The guy has never won anything meaningful yet walks around and talks to the media like he's a hall of fame coach. Telling the media he doesn't care if they win or lose because he will be back next year so it's all on them?! That infuriated me and just shows you how good he's got it. More demanding programs would have gone to town on a coach for such an arrogant comment. Not us. Then after yet again getting his tail handed to him by Chris Mack and Xavier, the little jerk has the audacity to tell us that the Xavier game doesn't really matter and we have more important things to worry about! That incensed me beyond words. That is so telling of how egotiatical and out of touch he is. Newsflash, us fans care a great deal! He's been totally outcoached, outrecruited and outclassed by Chris Mack and Xavier. That should make you sick. But hey, our coach says it's not a big deal. Another disgusting display by Cronin happened in the 1st SMU game, when there was a little tussle, and then Mick ran onto the floor and was protecting and profusely apologizing to Moore and SMU. I thought, this guy doesn't even have his own players back!! It's all about him. I don't know why anyone would want to play for him now. And that was evident by our bench this year. I saw absolutely zero energy or excitement, passion or coaching coming from this bench. Go watch all these schools still playing in the tournament and watch their coaches and watch their bench. Energy and enthusiam, attitude are huge factors in building a winning culture and we were sorely lacking We had the most lifeless bench and coaching staff I've seen this year. I cannot support this brand of basketball any longer.

Good bye and good luck in which ever team you chose to follow.

You'll be back. They always come back.
