At the end of the day you can't really make an argument that you are better then a team that went 2-1 against you (with the lot being a 2 point loss with the game winning shot rimming out), and having a better record against common opponents. You guys should be a 5 and we should be a 4.

I think SMU could make a case for a 3 seed. They have been the hottest team in CBB. I was impressed by how they shoot, rebound, and their composure. I think SMU makes a deep run.

UC should have been a 4 maybe 5. I think six is just to low for our resume.

SMU is clearly better than us. They killed us on a neutral court. I think we could have both been a 5 or them a 4 but I don't think anyone knew what to do with us. Our league is so bad this year, we just had each other to test how good we were. It was like gonzaga and saint Mary's except gonzaga had a good OOC schedule

I'm not making the argument we're the better team I'm just saying we have a better resume. Clearly SMU beat us twice and smoked us on a neutral court so I'm going to say they're the better team but from a overall resume standpoint the reason SMU is a 6 is because their schedule was very weak.

I'd hate to play SMU in the NCAA's and wish them the best of luck.

For as much we think we got a tough draw. I don't think there are many teams that want to see UC or SMU as potential opponent.

SMU did not kill us.......we came off a very tough and poorly called game the night before. Our guys were dog tired and came out and showed it. We got down fast and early and for the most part played even 90% of the game. A loss is a loss but don't overstate it.

I don't care that we are a 6 seed. What I do care about is our first round game is against a team who is way under seeded by most metrics (this stand for KSU and Wake).

UCLA fans seem to think we're a cake walk, if we make it.

Obviously. They really haven't faced a defense as good as UC's this season. Combine that with our style of play, they won't be able to get 75 possessions like they want.

Sure, UK's defense is pretty good, but they play a fast tempo too. If you get in a fast paced game versus UCLA, you won't win. But, a team that rebounds, defends and makes good use of its' possessions while limiting UCLA's can win.

SMU having 2 top wins and both against UC is bad news though.

Our win @iowa state Is better than any non conference win SMU had. Our second best win against Xavier was better than any SMU non conference win

Disagree, they killed us. It was never close. Also, We weren't anymore tired than them. The uconn game there was a whistle every 5 seconds, we shouldn't have been that tired. And they play 6 guys

But dude the UCONN game went on for 2 hours and 30 minutes and was physical as hell

I don't think they were tired. Uconn won 5 games in 5 nights that one year and one of them was a 6 overtime game. SMU plays 6 guys. If we were tired we need to get in better shape

Also I think a lot went into that game emotionally for the team. UCONN in the AAC tourney was something they absolutely had to get off their backs like Xavier this year.

I agree with this. I also think SMU is a bad match up for us. They make you make shots, and if you don't there is no reason for them to guard you out there and we aren't great shooters at times

I agree. Tired is the last excuse I would use for losing games. We played horrible but our team has been getting pretty good rest all year in comparison to some other players. In the conference we didn't have anyone in the top 23 of minutes per game.

SMU has been a slightly better team...but that doesn't mean it has to end that way. I guess we are going to have to do it the hard way but if we go into any game in the dance thinking we are the underdog or expecting to lose...we will. If our team gets tired...we will also lose. Adrenaline alone should keep you going in your conference tourney finals and the dance! Lack of confidence is a sure fire way to lose a game as well.

We also played Xavier and never had a week off like most teams in our conference did

I dunno if they were physically tired or not. But we seemed pretty mentally drained from a game like the night before.

I think it had more to do with not making a shot and being down by 10 before the blink of an eye. That will take it out of you real quick.
Another thing is, they don't seem to show up in big games. I don't know if it's a talent level thing or if I'm just fooling myself but the intensity doesn't appear the same against the better teams. Don't think I'm the first to say this
