hope you Colt and Saint fans have enjoyed these last two weeks. I know I have.

It's not very often that your team makes it to the Superbowl. You have two weeks to revel in it but they go by so quickly.

I haven't written much lately, my mind has been on this game.

I hope Colt fans and football fans in general are enjoying Peyton Manning as well. This is the greatest quarterback of all time guys. Dan Marino was the greatest pure passer.

Peyton is a better QB. He is better than Montana(who benefited from playing on the greatest and longest lasting dynasty ever), Elway, Bradshaw, and Staubach..

He is better than Johnny U, Namath, Tarkenton and yes, Favre. Speaking of which, you should read a recent article where Tarkenton compares and contrasts the two of Manning and Favre. It's quite damning in regard to Favre. His reckless play, playing up his toughness and flopping, his selfishness. His endless need for attention from an adoring media. His postseason meltdowns. His retirement antics.

I think Brees is a very good QB. He has had a great season. I think he will benefit greatly from a hobbled Freeney. But I wonder if that will limit there secret weapon, the screen pass? Brock will be in the way on the right side. But being short, it is fortunate for him that the Colts D-line is short as well.

Powers playing is huge IMHO. This will allow Lacey and Jennings to play the third and fourth receivers. Bullet and Bethea have played admirably in Sanders absence.(remember him?)This secondary(and I will include brackett as he drops into coverage so much)are going to have to get a couple of picks. I think they can.

I am not concerned about the Saints run game at all. The Colts defense is very fast.

I believe Indy has a better defense than N.O.

I believe they have a better O-line.

I believe Williams is bluffing and will drop 7 or 8 routinely.

I expect Indy to play Zone and force Brees to force it into tight windows. That will allow Hayden, Powers, ect, to jump a route or just make a play on the ball for a pick or two.

The Colts are like a fast break b-ball team. They run and gun with their 'quick' offense and force you to play a faster style. They will give up some points but will force you to feel like you have to score on every possession. Because they just might. You end up pressing, abandoning your run game, you throw a pick here, get sacked there,(Freeney and Mathis here) then you panic. The Colts get the ball back and calmly and coolly score again. You get the idea.

I think Colsten will give the Colts fits though. In fact, I expect the Colts to take away Bush and the others and force the offense through Colsten much like they did with Denver and Brandon Marshall.

I expect a flea flicker or an end around early by the Saints.

In the end, I think the Colts are just a better TEAM and will win 31-24. In a way, the Saints style of play almost plays into the Colts hands. They play similiar. And I expect them to make a couple more mistakes than Indy. Indy is 'tighter' with the ball IMHO. And as Chuck Knoll said, 'the team that makes the fewer mistakes will win'.

I'm still quite nervous about this game and the Saints very much can win it.

As for the future, I think the colts are set up for the next several years to make a couple more trips. They are VERY young and will only get better. They will have everybody back and will return Bob Sanders, Anthony Gonzalez, Marlin Jackson and Adam Vinatieri.

They are set up like the 49ers were in 1988.

On the other hand, I think it's over for the Patriots. What kept them great for so long was their defense and it's gone. You just don't replace that entire defense that they had. And it was special. On offense, Brady will be Brady, but he is taking a pounding. The O-line has serious issues. Welker will not be the same next year. Moss(who will turn 34 btw)is starting to be 'Moss' again. I wonder how long it will be tolerated.

Belichick has stock piled alot of draft picks for the future. That's great! Unfortunately, he's not Bill Walsh or Jimmy Johnson. He also turns 60 this year I believe. Good luck with the jets twice a year. ;)

Those are my thoughts on the Superbowl, the Colts' future and the Patriots(who I dislike but respect).

Go Colts!!

This is your time to make fun of me fellas. I do NOT like the NFL. I think it's borin and one of my least favorit sports to watch. I challange anyone to watch a game between to teams you have no interest in, you will be bored out of your mind. The NFL has WAY too many commercial breaks. You have 0 flow in the game. I don't even know if I'll watch the superbowl, if I do, it's because of the commercials. The NFL sucks. Doesn't compare to other sports. My dream would be for the NFL to go in lockout in the '11 season.
