Wow...I'm not even upset about this. I mean if he wants to go to Houston that tells me he isn't good enough for UC. The only I am upset about is we wasted 68 pages on the kid.

Smh. Guys relax. Your coming off as butt hurt by throwing out barbs at the kid who made a decision. He was told by the coaching staff they were no longer interested. Prospective recruits read message boards about recruits who do and don't sign with a certain school. Using insults toward a player because he didn't sign here reflects badly upon our fan base.

Mick wasn't convinced he could get past legal issues. Period. It was a matter of if UC wanted Torian and they made him aware a week ago that they were no longer interested. Moving on as a program.

I don't believe this. Same old story when a player chooses somewhere else we apparently backed off. Just admit that we miss sometimes...or often.

Nah, we backed off kemba, Teague, thabeet, etc. All of them. No room on our loaded roster. ;)

Yeah, it be nice to really know, but I guess it doesn't matter. Bottom line, not coming to UC. Hope the staff finds someone who ends up better.

Well its not the same old story. We've missed on plenty of recruits (as all programs do). We missed on kemba, burke, hammons, perry, hollowell, trimble, and many others. He was a UC lean when the original charges were dropped. Called the staff and let them know of his interest. The staff evaluated the situation and chose to go in a different direction. Not hard to understand. There is NO WAY that if Cincy wanted this kid that he just decides to pick a Houston program, that is in shambles right now, only 2 weeks after they have gotten involved. He was once courted by UNLV, Mizz, UC and UK. Now he decides to go to Houston? His options were limited.

Well you are right about me being butt hurt. But its not because Graham isn't going to UC. Its more due to the large amount of alcohol I consumed last night. Now I have explosive beer poo.

Let's just see how things unfold. If we don't add a new player who is eligible immediately, I'll believe we missed on Graham. But I won't believe it until then.

Wrong. There are several recruits the staff simply came up short on, most notably Kemba Walker and Trey Burke along with guys like Marcus Teague, Willie Warren and Scotty Hopson that were more of an outside shot.

I can tell you there are also recruits that the staff stopped recruiting like Jared Terrell and Torian Graham.

It is possible that both can be true. Cincinnati is a very good program but more comparable to Pitt than Louisville or Ohio State in terms of the recruits they land.

He was being sarcastic. But I think more important than the program is the coach, pitino draws recruits, Larry Brown is drawing recruits... in general it's more about the coach than the program.

You are simply wrong, he had strong interest in UC. There is more to this story.

These are from December:
Jerry Meyer ‏@jerrymeyer247
Torian Graham visiting UNLV tomorrow. High interest n Cincinnati as well. Missouri & Florida watched him this weekend

Garrett Tucker @GTuckerF150
UNLV, Cincinnati, and Kentucky are the “main schools” involved right now, according to the same source.

Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin and an assistant visited him last week; Kentucky is in the mix as well, but the magnitude of their interest is still not known.

Those all state that UC had interest in Graham. It has to be a two way street. He never came here for an official, never mentioned UC ever in the past 4 months. He was just picked on a crystal ball, which Meyer struck out twice on him, and retweeted a few UC things.

It seems that one of two things happened:

-He saw, or Kelvin, pointed out that UC has a plethora of Freshman and Sophomore guards and chose to go somewhere there would be no fight for PT

-The staff has identified that b/c of character issues that they chose to look at sg transfer and possibly get a 5th year transfer.

I do think that due to the timing he knew UK wasn't going to offer. It seems as if interest was fading lately.

In regards to the 5th year transfers, when can UC talk to them? Some have already declared like Dejean from UNLV

I think you left out an option 3...we got someone better and told him we didnt have room for him.

Martin isn't better than Shaq and no way in hell he plays over Sanders.

Justin Martin is just as good if not better than Shaq Thomas. His numbers speak for themselves. Coach Davis recruited him out of high school, maybe there is some truth to the rumors that the interest in mutual...however he will get attention from several major programs too.

Justin Martin is not coming to uc. Somebody
Made a rumor about it and everyone acts like
It's a lock he is coming here.

I'm not being negative I'm being realistic.
Hopefully we can watch these players grow up
Next year and make the nit. We could add
A transfer who can score and help is in
2015 like Haywood.

You know for a fact he isn't coming here?
Who said it's a lock that he's coming here?
Are you saying someone started it without talking to anybody?

You sure do know a lot.
