Torian Graham 2014 JUCO SG

Torian Graham, a 6-foor-4 shooting guard at Chipola (JUCO) College, is visiting Missouri this week.

Graham has heard from Kentucky but does not have an offer from the Wildcats at this time.

He was also recruited by Kentucky out of high school but ended up committing to N.C. State before going the JUCO route.

I spoke to a source close to Graham this morning who said, "I'll be shocked if he doesn't commit (to Missouri)."

Also had 4 crystal ball to Missouri today.

Right on queue,

Georgia (RPI rank 266) just beat Missouri (RPI rank 26) in Missouri, in a half empty arena.

I'll be glad to take their spot in the rankings on Monday. Also this gives guys like kj and maybe even a bit if morman the confidence that they are they guys next year. Torian is a good player, but so is kj so I'm not that disappointed

Kj was a good shooting in high school, and shows signs of being a good shooter at the college level. I'm excited about his future, don't sleep on morman either at the 2-3 I love what I've seen from him. Both are great athletes and play hard, and got lots of skill. In time tc, kj, and dm will be a dynamic backcourt, but this gives them the pt they need and deserve next year. We didn't need torian

We don't need him, but I want him. This will be a young team next year and he can help with that. Of course our guards will continue to develop, but we "need" a shooter next year.

KJ was about a 30% 3-point shooter in high school. He is streaky. I think he has a nice stroke, just needs to keep working on it.

Yes in High school he did shoot around 30%, which is good considering he was that team at summit, he did not have guys like troy finding him for the open three, or a guy like lawrence down low who can kick it out to him, or a driver like morman to hit him. And some of those threes were off the dribble. And because he was the best player he shot a lot, scored a lot too, but like sk now your going to miss some. But what i was getting at is what u just said he has a nice stroke and it will be even better next year with more work. Im just saying torian wasnt a necessity, but hes a very good player. I would love our next recruit to be a knock down shooter to come off the bench every now and then and spread the floor or kill the zone, but with morman and kj most of the pt at the 2 is in good hands

Have you seen Morman play? Is he more suited at the 2 or 3?

When I say shooter, I mean a sharp shooter, not a streaky shooter. KJ is comparable to Dion Dixon, around 30% from 3.

I am not denying they won't be a dynamic trio, UC needs a sharp shooter.

I've seen his highlights and went to the deveroes league all the time. Saw him twice, the slats didn't show up much, but what I saw was a great athlete who played great defense and was tough. One game when they played the xu team he went off, scored like 30 and was nailing threes. I also watched his highlight video multiple times, and believe he's a good shooter but not a spot up kinda guy. IMO he'd be great in a three guard lineup at the three in a jaquon Parker role, I believe he's a more skilled and athletic version of Parker but similar in their toughness ( I loved Parker). But who knows for sure. I do like and agree with the dion comparison which is a great compliment for kj

Thanks for the info. I went to deveroes and Slats didn't show up, was disappointed. I hope he heals up and is ready to go next year. I am anxious to see him play.

KJ does seem to move better without ball and play a little better defense than Dixon and that is as a frosh. He continues to get better. These guards are going to be fun to watch blossom over the next 4-5 years.

Not sure about that. I never thought of Dixon as a big offensive threat, but man he was tough on D.

Dion could explode for 20 on a given night. I think in the long run KJ will be a more consistent scorer than Dixon was. Both are good defenders.

I agree. I think KJ will be more polished and consistent. At times Dixon was frustrating but I admired his moxy.

Dion was inconsistent at times but he was one of the many players that dug us out of the hole. I sometimes feel he is very under-rated.

I will always remember Dion's steal and dunk against FSU in the tourney to win the game. Great great play.
