Torian Graham 2014 JUCO SG

Dion was inconsistent at times but he was one of the many players that dug us out of the hole. I sometimes feel he is very under-rated.

I will always remember Dion's steal and dunk against FSU in the tourney to win the game. Great great play.

I agree, and don't mean to be disparaging of him. He willed us to win some games. He had that Bearcat toughness that's been part of the identity of the program.

That FSU game is still one of my favorites in recent memory.

Dion was a player I really, really rooted for. He was my favorite Bearcat of that time period (don't think he was the best, but he was my favorite). He was an above average defender and rebounder and athlete. I wish he would have developed into a more consistent scorer/threat. I think he lacked in fundamentals and was on a team that lacked in fundamentals and that is what led to 20 one night and zero the next. Those teams loved shooting jump shots and never drove to the hoop. He was a big culprit of that. I'm glad these new guys seem to be changing that attitude. I liked Dixon, even if he had his flaws, but I'm hoping KJ/Caupain/Mormon/Shaq/Clark/Moore/etc. etc. all turn out to be better players simply so we win at a high level.

Que? Wasn't graham shooting like 34% from the floor last year? Did he go through some sort of personal renaissance as a player? Kid has hops but a shooter?

Graham has improved to 53.4% this year, including 47.8% (33-69) from three.

It looks like he's high on Mizzou, UNLV, and UC, yet has only visited Mizzou and UNLV. What gives? Have we scheduled an official visit? Has he even seen the campus?

Ive had a chance to watch Graham a few times this season.Very nice player, the kid has pretty sweet shot,a quick release and elevation on it....Of a player in UC comparasion Tony Bobbitt but a better athlete than Tony...That said I know he is waiting to see if Kentucky offers....If not I think its a even toss he is a Bearcat

Because Kentucky won't know how many schollies to fill until after their players declare for the draft, sounds like his decision will be at the last second ala Obekpa

Here's a good eval on the kid...not sure if been posted here..

Good looking player. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a UC uniform. If UK doesn't come calling it should be interesting.

Pretty much...Graham isnt going to commit anywhere until his situation with Kentucky is resolved one way or another...Is he good enough to play for UK?? I believe he is

No problem with pot, but the fact that he is stupid enough to be speeding with it in the car concerns me a little bit.

Yeah, I know, I'm just teasing you. I don't want guys who are making bad decisions, Mick has worked too hard to change the image of the program.

Call me crazy, but this might be a blessing in disguise. I am certainly not condoning speeding, or making poor decisions in general. But since UK pretty much gets their pick of the lot recruiting wise, maybe this will scare them off enough for us to take advantage.

I have no problem taking a chance on a guy like this, as long as the coaching staff likes him. Making a poor decision doesn't mean you're a bad person -- it just means you made a poor decision. Now if the guy beat his girlfriend or had rape allegations pending... I would feel entirely different about recruiting him.

I was about to post the same thing. This could cause programs to back off of him and if Mick is confident that he is worth the risk, it better the Cats chances...
