Don't be ridiculous uc is solidly in regardless of what happens. We have ZERO bad losses on the season.

The question is seeding. We could get as high as a 3 or a low as a 9

I think the expression "Just say no" to drugs applies here.

UC is faling fast. As usual it isn't as bad as some on here make it out and it isn't as rosey as some pretend. It is serious and more serious with each loss. They have all week to prepare for UConn on Saturday. I'd like to see Cash, SK, JP, Thomas and Rubles on the floor Saturday. The bigs are giving you nothing. Why not?

The guards aren't giving anything either. That's the problem, not the bigs. The bigs are an easy cop out. What you aren't getting from this team is solid consistent play from the big three. And it isn't because of a lack of big man.

Cash is hurt. He is playing on a bad knee. He is a senior who does not have another go around possible. He is in bad shape, if he were not a senior he would not be playing. If you watched the game yesterday, CBS showed the ND coaches halftime meeting. One of the ND assistants remarked "Cash Wright is not the same player".

Even when they play like shit they get SOMETHING. And brother, the bigs arent giving them any of that.

Cash and SK had 6 points and 1 assist between them. That's inexcusable. Anyone that's watched basketball before knew that they couldn't expect much from Gaines, Mbodj, and DNy on the offensive end. They simply aren't good. But having 3 veteran starting guards should have carried them to a better record than what they have right now. But there hasn't been one game this year where all three have played really well. And that's disappointing.

SK has been complaining about getting doubled team and saying other players need to step up. If SK and Cash are getting double teamed then someone should be open but those two aren't good enough to find the open man. They constantly miss the wide open man under the basket. SK and Cash have to man up, it's not on the bigs.

No doubt the play has been awful, but that's mostly a different discussion than our tournament chances. One thing is for sure, we can't lose out. That many losses in a row would undo all of the good on our resume.

Win 2 of last 3 and we're in. Maybe barely in, and possibly even in Dayton, but safe.

The real sweat would be, what if our only win between now and MSG is home against USF? That would put us at 20 wins, 8-10 in the BE. At that point, we would be squarely on the bubble and rooting for small conference favorites and hoping to squeak out a win or 2 in NY. That would be a scary position.

Right now, I'd put our chances at about 80%. If we lose to UConn, I would say more like 45%. That really is a huge swing game.

I agree 100% with everything you said. There should be a great crowd on Saturday; this team has to pull its head out of its ass and scrap out the W.

If they win 2 out of 3 I think they are easily in....If they only beat USF they are going to be sweating bullets. If they beat UConn but lose to UofL and USF I don't think they are in. Yea their record and rpi will be okay but the way they finish the season ways heavily and this team is on the brink of total collapse.

We are still in decent shape despite looking nothing like a tournament team lately because the bubble is so weak. Other than the last 10 games there are no red flags on the resume. No bad losses and the schedule strength is not an issue this year. I agree with LL that they get in with two more wins before Selection Sunday.

I would say at providence is a bad loss and I would say yesterday was a bad loss because of the way we lost

even if they ran the table and won the big east tourney, the would max out at a 5 seed.

that is not true. you are basing that off of one bad game against a good home team. all of the other losses have been close and if we win out and win the be tourney we would be a 4, potentially a 3 depending on who we beat in the be tourney

If uc wins out including be tourney they'll have a Ton of top 25 wins and no bad losses

again, losing at providence is definitely a bad loss and also the way we lost yesterday makes that a bad loss. I would also say st johns on our home floor could even be considered as a bad loss

Winning 2-3 locks them in I think. Lose 2 of 3 and I think they need 2 BEast tounament wins to lock in a spot.

well not taking sides, but if you look at Uconn a couple years back they were 9-9 in the BEast and won the conference tourney moving into a 3 seed in the NCAA tourney...just saying.

the conference was also a lot tougher that year. the teams they ran through were all better then teams this year.

the big east wont even have a single number one seed.

It would be 4 top 25 wins in 4 days and a 6-1 finish overall putting us at 25-10 (9-9) with some solid computer numbers. It is a crapshoot where we would end up but I would probably say 4-5 line if the dream became reality.
