so uab shuts down the football program, they had a solid season (6-6), but I noticed there 2015 sceadule opened at Tennesee now I know its wishful thinking and highly doubtful that an sec school would go from opening at home against an c-usa team to going on the road to cinci to open a new stadium. but boy that would be awesome to open verse them and is definitely worth a shot. But that program probably would only take us going there with no home game in return, which we did a few years ago. Proby not going to happen but when I saw it I couldn't help imagine what that atmosphere would be like. One can hope I guess

I read on another board that the UAB-Tennessee game was to be played in Nashville, and that Tennessee will likely replace UAB with one of UAB's other 2015 opponents. I can't confirm if that's all true, but it's what I've heard.

Yep, Memphis is already done at 7-1. A win and we match that. UCF is 6-1 as well. Now if UCF loses and we win I'm not sure if we are considered co-champs or not since they beat us head to head.

I believe no matter what central does if we win we win a share of the title with memphis, even tho we lost head to head. Now i think the top bowl will then go to whoever is ranked highest in the college football playoff poll. So win and we get a share, pretty big deal to cointinue to be able to say we win our conference almost every year

Yes the game is at tennessee, but what you said makes a lot of sense considering all those on their schedule will need to make up games so that should be pretty easy. But if there looking for a little better competition and if butch wants to man up ill gladly welcome them to the new nip next year

University of Tennessee is in Knoxville. The UAB game was scheduled to be played in Nashville at LP Field, home of the Titans. So it's technically a neutral site game, although the crowd would obviously be heavily Tennessee no matter who they played.

Here is an article about it: http://www.tennessean.com/story/vols/2014/12/02/tennessee-statement-2015-opener/19794577/

Apparently UAB's other opponents are booked the weekend that game is scheduled to be played. Also, they are committed to keeping the game in Nashville. I doubt Butch would allow it, but it would be pretty cool. We've played them recently, so who knows? September 5 is the date, and that is the date of the Alabama A&M game, so I suppose it's not that out of the question.

No matter what if we win we will be co champs with Memphis and UCF if they win tonight, head to head does not matter anymore. Also I believe we are ranked higher than both of those two right now so we would get the best bowl which will be announced Sunday.

Of all the cupcakes in this conference we have by far the most frosting.

*toot toot*

Well in the AP poll Memphis received more votes than us and are technically ranked higher but in the usa today poll cinci received more votes and are ranked higher. The college football playoff rankings on espn did not show who received votes. If we look good against a solid Houston team tho that should put us ahead in all the polls. I think the CFP poll is the one that counts but I couldn't find who was ahead in that

The Playoff Committee only releases the Top 25.

Anyone know what bowl games we're going to be considered for?
