Its a fact???? Jason your not one for irrational comments. If he played for the Cats you would love him. Scouts rate him as one of the best on the ball defenders in college. His out side shot is shaky. Scouts are undecided how his game will play at the next level because of his shot. He is a very good college player.

I never said I wouldn't love having a player that gets away with hand checking all over the place but you cannot objectively watch him play and say he doesn't get away with several obvious fouls every game. His reputation proceeds him and if he doesn't get called for them, then what can you do? He's overrated. Take his name off the back of his jersey and he fouls out of at least 5-7 games a year.

Your kidding right? I can find you numerous scouting reports that will tell you he is the best on the ball defender in the college game. Are they part of the conspiracY? Oh and by the way hand checking hasn't been called or has been ignored in the college game for quite sometime. Hence the decline in scoring and the need to change the rules this year. He is one of the smartest players in College. He is far from overrated. Here is a tip . When you want to see a kid play who knows how to play defense and deliver the ball in the right spots to his teammates watch Aaron. Put away your bias and you may enjoy a very good PG at work. Opposing Coaches even sing his praises. Do tell why he gets away with all the things you think he does.?

So maybe you should take up your hatred for the refs, not Craft. What do you want, Craft to start calling fouls on himself? He gets a way with a lot but I don't see why that would be his fault. Either way he is a fantastic defender and and a very good PG. I would take him on UC's team in a heartbeat. Guyn wouldn't ever see the floor if Craft played for UC.

On the UL V. Memphis game tonight on ESPN Dickie V talked about the Bearcats game plan against Memphis and also said, "Mick Cronin has Cincinnati playing on fire."

So even if UC is not on ESPN for the next few games at least we are getting mentioned. They also talked about us being undefeated in the league.

You sure he didn't say "fiahhh!!!"

With the new emphasis on hand checking he should foul out in 5-7 minutes. Granted I haven't watched him play much, but when I have he is all over the ball-handler. I'm with you on hating Craft. I can't root for any Buckeye so that makes him doubly worse.

David I watch him play quite a bit. I can tell Craft is one of the best on the ball defenders in the game Not because he is above the rules. He is a coaches son and knows the game. He also works his tail off. I respect your dislike for their program but in this case and the same with Jason your letting it cloud your judgement in regards to his ability.

I don't have any issues appreciating a good player even on a team I don't like. The reality is that he is only effective because he gets away with obvious fouls. Hand checking is an automatic foul in college hoops. Using an arm bar to impede progress is a foul. Reaching and making contact (going through the body) is a foul. These aren't new rules. I can't help that the refs don't call it on Craft and I also don't fault him for playing that way if they are not going to call it. That said, I still feel his defensive prowess is overrated as a result.

I agree he's a very good ball player, he does get away with alot of contact. Part of that may be Big Ten refs, I know they play a tough brand of ball. Louisville likes to see how much contact they can get away with too. When the refs blow the whistles they struggle. When they don't you get games like the Big East final a few years ago that was hack city between us and them. I said it years ago and I'll say it again and probably get flack for it but I think the fact that he is white is why he gets away with as much as he does.

You might have a point. It also certainly helps that he has a squeaky clean, guy-next-door reputation off the court (GPA is around 3.8 or 3.9 I believe).

Jason until this year those rules were not enforced regularity and unless you have been living under a rock you know this. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

it could also be he is a very good player. If I asked how many times people downgrading his performance have seen him play I would guess it Is less then 25 prescient of his scheduled games. Yet they are certain he gets away with murder. I would also predict none are officials.

I really think this conversation has run its course.your not going to convince me and I'm not going to convince you. I enjoy his game and will continue to do so.
