I wasn't sure where to put this but I am stoked right now for basketball AND football! I have been stoked for both sports individually in the past but not sure I have been this excited for both sports at the same time.
We seem to be primed for an outstanding season in basketball with very nice talent on the roster and a new arena on the way. Our players are team first guys and represent the university very well.
In football we have a coach who is absolutely lighting it up in recruiting and seems to have a very solid plan for the program. He has put together a very nice coaching staff and is detail oriented, gets out in the community, and preaches culture.
It's going to be pretty cool knowing that UC will be one of the best defensive teams in the country in BOTH sports for years to come!! If we can score some points it's going to be a lot of fun for the foreseeable future.
Defense and hard work is going to be the culture. We could very well be the best non power conference program in the country as a combination right now! Success will bring us more and more talent on offense in both sports. I can't wait to see both teams perform this year!
