UC vs. AR Little Rock

All you need to know is 21 steals. An absolutely ridiculous number.

I am more interested in our 17 turnovers. While 21 steals is def. an accomplishment, Little Rock resembled the passing of a jv squad. Cronin knows we aren't efficient on offense which is good. They can only get better with every game.

On another note, I was at the game and it seems Kilpatrick's ball handling are getting worse. He keeps making stupid turnovers and get caught mid-dribble. Definitely don't think his handles will translate to the NBA. But on the other hand, every other facet of his game has looked great

Sk definantly turned the ball over way to much... With that being said, im not concerned at all.

Twas an ugly scrimmage. Not really a representation of how well they can play but I liked Mick taking the starting 5 off the floor for extended period. Credit to the bigs, they actually played pretty well.
In general I think they sensed ALR was less athletic and all around talented just stopped caring. They were sloppy and crazy.
On the upside, I did see some nice dishing and I think the subs are getting more comfortable. Guyn's decision making needs to improve. I think SK actually got better as they game went on. He needs to stop playing so timid. guy can score all over. Wright is scoring well but the offense man lol
Well... one more cup cake and a couple games we could lose if we fall asleep.
Then we have to play New Mexico.
This game, the Wright State game, the Xavier game and the one against Marshall won't hurt our RPI too much.

It'll help if Oregon and Iowa State keep winning.

Anyone who listened to Mick after the game knew he is frustrated with the offense. Unlike some I don't see a scheme problem, I see a team that plays outside itself too much. There is way too much one on one and not nearly enough passing. I did see a few decent screens tonight but not enough.

IQ is the other issue. Cincinnati could have got to the rack at will tonight. Instead they settled for jump shots. Kilpatrick has to be more assertive and the team needs to do a better job getting him open. Cash is not facilitating nor directing. Sanders and Parker are the only two I see the past couple games playing smart basketball.

I actually thought Guyn played better tonight. Yes he gets out of control, i.e. Rubles, but even Nelson mentioned he has been working extremely hard in practice and is looking better. Rubles could really be a very good player if he would play within the flow of the game...back to iq.

Think the more Thomas plays the better he'll get. There is just an air to that guy imo.

BTW!, best spot on sportscenter I have seen in years on the Bearcats game. Good to see the CPaw front and center on television.

The dunk Jackson had going down the lane was reminiscent of James White...hope to see Jackson continue to mature and progress...little concerned with durability of Cash's knees...really liking what I see from Sanders
Go Bearcats!

Cheik(h) and David combined stats.

Me neither... This is a VERY good team. They have size, depth, guard play, AND they play great D.. What is not to like?

The lack of attendance at UC basketball games drives me crazy! I wish I lived closer so I could go to every game. I will be at the New Mexico game and probably 1 or 2 Big East games this year.

felt guilty while looking at the empty seats last night...just purchased the BEast Bundle deal...excited about this team
Go Bearcats!

I will keep saying this, until UC can have consistent sellouts it will not be looked at as a power nationally. I hear on radio "Cincinnati has the Bengals and Reds", well X is in Cincinnati and they draw 9-10k every game. It's pathetic to me. This is a dangerous team and hasn't come close to peaking yet. As they concentrate more and more on offense and offensive efficiency as Mick has spoke of after the last 2 games, this team will be very difficult to beat.

The football team is a perennial Big East champ or co-champ and BCS bowl game contender. Top 15 consensus basketball team, what more do these fans want? UC "fans" you are the final piece to this puzzle. You are revenue and you are atmosphere. You have a part in these programs and their rise to a higher level. If you want to see your teams viewed on a national level participate. Otherwise be quiet when UC doesn't get in a new league.

It's no different than the Reds or Bengals. Attendance gives extra money for facilities and to go get players by increasing recruiting budgets and advertisement to promote the programs. Put your asses in seats or stop whining.

Fans cannot complain about the OOC schedule anymore either. Mick has done a great job getting good teams into 5/3rd. This year Mick was able to get Alabama (I know he didn't set it up but his lobbying helped) and New Mexico. Teams don't want to come to 5/3rd which makes it hard but this team is good and has stars to make it fun no matter who they are playing.

UC fans always have an excuse. Every year we keep getting better and improving but the excuses stay the same. Which is sad because it doesn't matter who we play, this team is a blast to watch.
