We're 2.5 point dogs tonight. Predictions?

While the home court helps UConn, I simply think they aren't very good this year. There's always the chance of them getting hot, but it seems unlikely.

UC 64
UConn 57

I think whoever wins the battle at the 4 and turns it over less wins. Think it will be a battle beginning to end but I have to pick my Cats.

All about if we are able to limit our own turnovers and continue to bang inside. Getting it inside will be a little more difficult because UConn has some size. We obviously have to make it hard for Boatwright and Can't let him create offense. I feel good about this matchup and hope we come away with a win. Both teams know each other very well so I am anticipating a dog fight.

Wow just saw that Facey was out last night with a concussion for UCONN, If thats the case again tonight thats gonna be huge. In the first two games he played major minutes (37 in game one) inside and without him it will be up to Phillip "foul everyone right away" Nolan to man the 4. With him and Brimah who is also very foul prone we would have a massive advantage on the inside.

But can we take advantage of that? It seems like sometimes we struggle to draw fouls. Part of it is due to us avoiding contact and the other part is the horribly inconsistent referring going on in the AAC.

I think we withstand an early onslaught and show over 40 minutes that at the end of the day, we're just the better team.

I think the refs will be turrible tonight. They will make themselves part of the game and feed off the UConn pro crowd.

With the way we have been playing lately with Cobb in the starting lineup and getting more minutes I would take UC around -3. We have been scoring around 6 more points than our average on the season while giving up 1 less point than average.

Before that I would have probably put this game at +2. If +2 is the Vegas line I would probably have to bet it the way we are playing right now.

Every year this is the time one of their guards gets hot.... Hopefully Boatright puts an end to that streak and Caupain outduels him. Last time we played them at home I saw a different side to Troy. I hope that same one comes out again. I would have never imagined him being kicked out of a game to start the year... Ellis yes, but not TC.

Cobb and Ellis have really carried us lately. If they have bad games, I hope Clark, TC and KJ are ready to play. Troy better bust out the headband again

I'm kinda ready for a game where ALL the Cats bring their "A" game Can you imagine what this team could do?

Time of year legends are born

Very True! Boatright wont go down easy tonight. This will be a physical battle, i love the rivalry this is becoming. But to me this game has two big matchups for us:
Troy vs Boatright
Ellis vs. Brimah
-hopefully troy comes out with that killer mentality he had when they came to 5/3 cuz this is boatrights last go around. He needs to play big tonight, he definitly out played him at 5/3
-Can ellis keep up his great play against the lengthy defender of Brimah? that will be huge tonight
-x factors are shaq and farrad a big game from either of them and we get the win
----Prediction. The cats win a hard fought game and pull away at the end. Big threes from Cobb down the stretch. Cant wait!

Good thing about the crowd tonight is that its a big draw for fans of any other team that is there as well and I'm going to go out on a limb and expect fans of other teams to be Bearcat fans for a night. Tulsa because they need a Top 50 game, SMU because they want revenge, Temple because they think they want a Top 50 game and the rest of the teams because its fun to cheer for the less popular team. Might allow us to not face as much of a crowd as we normally would.

Gonna be a great atmosphere tonight!
