Every game nothing new. Kid from bmore and Evans are day one starters.
Sanders had offers from Villanova, St. Johns, Seton Hall, Providence, Maryland and Pittsburgh.
Absolutely irrelevant. How many times have we seen someone make it to a big time school and transfer cuz they cant hack it. That would be sanders on a majority of teams.
Troy is slower than Logan.He's not going to work.
He needs to develop a good step back mid range jumper and needs to bury the jumper when people go under the pick on him. And he needs to hit the 3. Right now he's too offensively limited to be an effective point guard on this team.
I'm usually pointing out the negatives, but let's give them a break today. They found out that Mick wasn't coaching this morning and given the reason for his absence, that's a shock to the system. Take that and couple it with the fact that VCU has 10 threes and that we can't shoot (1-10 from three at this point) and we have no chance.
This team is still young. As frustrating as they can be, I'm giving them a pass on this one.
Oh, and that zone defense wasn't working. That's coach's decision, not theirs. It produced wide open looks against SD so I'm not surprised VCU is killed them in it the first half - they gave 3 guys who shoot around 40% from downtown.
This has been problem for years now. Can't remember last guard that could pass and dribble.Jamal Warren and cash are only TRUE pg in 9yrs. Time to leave New York area for recruiting.

Playing mostly zone makes it easy to develop bad habits when you switch to man.

This team defense stinks without Mick. Offense stinks with or without Mick. All evidence in world this game that we need a assistant that's offensive genius.
It's not the offensive system. It's the players within the system. They dont pass it well. They dont shoot it well. They dont create for themselves very well. Gary has a nice offensive future and so does Quadri. There is a talent problem on this team right now. Not a systematic one.
Same problem since day one. Mick has ALWAYS had not only worst shooting team in college but passing has been even worse.It's not the offensive system. It's the players within the system. Exactly.
Talent is what takes you from being a good, competitive team to a final four team. Unfortunately, we're still far from it.

I'll take his attitude. Can't take airball jump shots. Can't be mad at him for slamming ball when your lazy teammates won't move.

Coach Davis never gave us a chance. This game was over 8 minutes in. I doubt we would've won anyway, but it is just so demoralizing to watch open 3 after open 3 go in. That explains the lack of energy imo.
Why the Morman hate? He's young and dumb, but he doesn't play scared, his D is insane, and he's athletic..
Everybody d is insane and athletic on team. We need basketball players not track stars. For all the athletes we supposedly have still haven't seen us out run the small schools.

Let's also not forget about the team finding out their head coach has a serious medical condition and would not coach about an hour before game time. There are issues obviously but these guys are family. No doubt there was a toll taken today.
