I went to school with Carl. He was a freshman when I was a senior and I was one of the seniors on the basketball team and Carl was the best player on the team.

I can't wait for the camera on the dashboard and the fast-forwarded drive from campus to campus. They feel like they MUST show that every year.

I actually think X wins because it’s on their home floor, they have prepared with a much better schedule & they don’t miss free throws.

I hope I’m wrong!

those are reasons they could win, and our question mark at the pg position.

but we have the more talented team overall. as long as they dont shoot 50%+ from 3 yet again, i like our chances.

They could. We also could. No one really has a clue how good this uc team is. Including us. If they are as good as we think, they have a very good chance. I don’t think the schedule is a big deal. It wouldn’t hurt but if a team is good it usaully shows. Might take a couple minutes to adjust but it will show. When Memphis was in c-USA they made it to the championship after not playing anyone for months in conference.

They still have weaknesses. They are far from perfect. We will probably have to score 80 to win there though. I would like to see a more up tempo game. I think it would favor us but We always slow it down against better teams

I hate all this talk about UC not playing anyone. Our starting 5 was all in this game last year. They know what to expect.

My prediction is UC 78-73

i mean i think the schedule stuff is a reach, but so is saying our starting 5 all were "in" the game last year.

In my opinion this is not the kind of game you have hot takes from if we lose.

Things happen in the shootout that won’t happen the rest of the season.

Just hope we don’t see a board meltdown if we lose. Xavier lost to UC and made an elite 8.

But it would feel so damn good to win.

You're right. Jenifer only played three minutes. But he has played in tough games. I'd be surprised if Keith and Trevor got more than 25 - 30 minutes combined. Cane is the x factor. Because he hasn't been in this environment before and he is going to be relied on. Just got to put him in situations he can succeed.

That's an understatement! It would feel soooo f**king good to win.

Yeah I agree. My philosophy is win home games and conference games. That's how KU dominates every year. Last year we were 25-2 in those games. We do have 2 less of those games this year I think. So we need to pick up another win or 2 somewhere. This is a good opportunity. But kind of a house money kind of game if we take care of business in the should-wins and cupcakes like we did last year. The pressure isn't on us. We won last year in this game and they have to defend their court. I think we'll be the looser team. But let's just see what happens and figure out how we use it to be at our best when it really counts.
