Yeah but we have basically will have had over a week off, so we should be well rested. Plus, we don't play again til that following Saturday so we better play balls to the wall.

week off is a BAD thing. we almost always have a week off vs them and almost always start slow.

a week between games is too much. we might be fresh but we also aren't likely to be sharp. this goes for x and the florida game. always better to have a tuesday game before a saturday.

Think blueitt will be cold 3 games in a row? If Macura stays hot and blueitt gets out of his slump we might be in trouble Saturday. If the D can slow down 1 of them I don't think X has another guy that will go off. Gates was hot last night but I don't think he has put 2 good games together in a row.

bluiett has had a bad back. probably why he's been off lately.

Cronin said we were going to be going hard Wed and Thurs bc of the time off after the travel back from the Caymans. I'm not worried about a slow start bc we have 4 days without a game. Easy travel too. I think we'll be fine. I worry a little more for Florida but we'll cross that bridge later.

im talking general sense. i always see people saying its a good thing but its bad to be out of game action that long, can't replicate game intensity in practice.

x is at least 5 days instead of a full week.

While that is true, XU's defense isn't great this season at creating turnovers. Baylor only turned it over 11 times. That's not terrible.

XU's defense is ranked 312th at turnover % via KenPom. As long as we play smart and limit unforced errors, we should be fine.

But we have turned it over way too much this year against the competition we've played. I know the quicker pass means more TOs, and that's fine, but traveling and dumb passes are inexcusable.

People thought Kilpatrick had the old man game and he's found a nice place in the NBA...

yes and look at the journey he had to take to get there.

i dont really see why you said this. does anybody think if bluiett was hyper-athletic he wouldn't be in the nba right now?

I don't think he's hyper athletic? I just said you can make a career in the NBA being a well rounded player without amazing athleticism. Either way I hope the Bearcats shut him down..

All I know is that we better win this freaking game. We're ranked just outside the Top 10, we're playing a good team in a hostile environment, no better time to come out and show our worth. Time to start a little streak of our own in this series, we need to get the upper hand back.

BREAKING: Jarron Cumberland has removed the bright blonde dye from his hair. Or dyed over it. Either way it’s black now.

I know that we all want Evans and clark on the floor as much as possible. I can foresee at least 2 fouls called on one of them in the first 4 minutes of the game. I just want nobody to get hurt or suspended and hopefully get the W also.

I'm more worried about Washington getting in early foul trouble. X has some fouls to give in the post and I think there will be a bunch of pushing and shoving early in this one. Kyle has a tendency to pick bad fouls.

I don’t worry as much with Kyle because I don’t think there is much of a drop off with him and brooks, where as there is a huge drop off imo between Clark and Scott.

Brooks instead of Kyle means the defense can sag off. Everyone knows Brooks isn't shooting farther out then 5ft. Not to mention Brooks is also a foul machine.

Offensively I agree Kyle has more skill no doubt about it. Brooks is good around the rim and a good rebounder and defensively brooks has the edge over Washington.

I’d rather have Washington in the game I’m just saying brooks is a good back up to have, where as I’m not sold on Scott being a reliable backup, but I hope I’m wrong he needs to hold on to a rebound

funny thing. brooks ranks 7th on the team in defensive rebound %. diarra, clark, washingon, scott, nsoseme, and moore are ahead of him. i would say his rebounding radius is quiet small for his size. he's not going to get any outside of his area.

i dont think this is a game for brooks, more scott's style. im not sure that xavier ever plays 2 bigs. if you play brooks with clark then clark is always going to be standing at the arc on defense.
