Then why does BCL come here to rip our junior recruiting analyst. Lol

No but really it really is not even close when it comes to free stuff.

I cannot speak for Chad, but it seems he does have a problem with "misinformation" or people that may rip his information that is "premium" then post it on other boards.

Free stuff here is fine. It's the non-free stuff that BCL offers.

Why do you say that? Curious? I was just getting use to a smaller/faster lineup. If we sign both of those guys...we will have a lot of depth from 4-5. Can these two play any on the perimeter? If we do get both of them...does Gaines transfer? I would like to see another SF/wing or pure PG. Do we need 6 guys at the 4-5...especially if we want to run and gun a little?

Wright/Guyn
SK/Davis
Parker/Thomas/Sanders
JJ/Rubles/Ellis (possibly 7'?)
Mooj/Obepka/Gaines

We're changing our style of play in terms of philosophy, not just lineup.

Yes, 3-4 guards can have its advantages.....but it also has disadvantages.

We continued to run a spread offense with only one post when JJ and Yancy were in together, which is fine. If we can continue to spread the floor, the offense will be fine.....even if you have two bigs in the game.

We're getting killed on the boards, so I think we need to play JJ at the 4 about 20-25 minutes a game. Just my take...

BCL offers some great insight that cannot be found anywhere else...

BCT has some nice recruiting information, no doubt. Jeff does a nice job. However, BCL has more "in-depth" coverage when it comes to interviews with recruits, players, etc.

BCT is a nice site, but BCL offers much, much more.

Weak plug. And no it doesnt. If BCL was so awesome and had so much more info Mr Bill Gates (chad) wouldnt get all pissy about me breaking a story to the world.

To add to that... nothing promotes good professionalism like calling people idiots and claiming information and then adding in the...o ya come pay for it... beyond weak.

One nice thing about a FREE forum, I dont have to act professional. Nor will I. But if your goal is to promote a pay website you might want to consider it.

I can't say that I disagree with you...but why do we need 6 guys to play 60 minutes (40 min from the 5 and 20 from the 4)? We already have 4 "bigs". That leaves the remaining 140 minutes to be played by 7 guys.

In this formula at least two of our "bigs" and maybe three aren't going to see any minutes. 3-4 guys can play those 60 minutes.

I think a better breakdown of talent given the new philosophy would be a total of 5 C's and PF's...8 SF's, SG's, and PG's. Personally I would rather see another wing/sf in the mold of Thomas than to get two 4/5 guys.

I am just trying to figure out what exactly we are gaining with Obepka and Rubles...over and above Mooj, Gaines, JJ, and Ellis...and why do we need two of them when there aren't enough minutes to go around at those positions under the new offense?

Me and chad have gotten into an email argument in the past I think thats where it stems from. The argument was over me breaking news on lance stephenson when he supposedly already knew what was going on and thought I stole his news. HOWEVER after speaking with my sources they had no idea who the hell is even was so i dont know.

In all due respect, it was the RNN that broke the Lance Stephenson to UC news.

Also after watching Lance play in his first exhibition game the RNN correctly reported that Lance was not the second coming of Oscar Robertson, to the chagrin of many at BCN.

Because after next year all you will have is JJ (junior), Gaines (sophomore), and Ellis (freshman or sophomore). Can't play with only 3 big men, at least two of which are foul prone. I've been saying for a while that UC needs two big men in this class.

Ralph with all due respect RNN may have "posted" it first put I PMed many people on BCN 2 weeks before the news broke saying Lance was coming to UC.

Right...but why not one this year and one next year? It's not like we are getting 5 star talent here (at least not on the surface). Why not take a stab at getting a 4-5 star big man next year who can do it all?

If these two guys are the best available players...then go for it. I just don't see any reason to force a decision to grab two bigs...especially when it doesn't seem either one of them offer us much in terms of scoring.

I say grab one big and then the best available player...if that happens to be another big then so be it.

I think that is Mick's philosophy and I am sure Mick has a good idea of who he could possibly land in 2013. This stuff will work itself out and Mick won't take a player that he doesn't think can play at this level.

I frequent BCT too.

Who cares? All we want to know is which recruits are serious and about to sign and which ones aren't. BCL is a site that simply drums up drama to keep you coming back for more. Anyone who had a subscription learns fast how that works. You can get the information free on sites like this. Why does anyone need to know immediately who signed or verballed when the news will spread like wildfire and you'll know it in a matter of minutes or hours anyway?

And the unprofessionalism of coming on here and acting like a 5 year old does nothing but turn people off. A poor way of trying to drum up business.

On a recruiting note Mick is pushing HARD for Obekpa and at the end of the day IMO (not information i've received) he ends up in a bearcat uniform next season.

I'm hearing from my sources that Titus is a formality, just need the right signatures on the dotted line.

This is true however different things are happening before that can happen but not going to speak of it right now unless through PM.

Yea def agree with Jeff. I think Cronin would take Bail and Obekpa in heartbeat over Rubles. Not saying that Rubles would not be a good fit for the Cats but Cronin is being smart in being patient. Another strong run in the last two months of the season and who knows who might fall into our lap...
