When Quadri was at the line the St. Joe's kids were chanting "Harvard! Havard! Havard!" I officially hate St. Joe's High School in Jersey haha

watched the 2nd half. Tough loss. I think they were down by 15 at one point and came back to make it a close game. When Quadri gets the ball, he looks to score. Got the the free throw line quite a bit and made every free throw. Good sign

Also saw the second half. Quadri has a nice touch at the free throw line and definitely a nice stroke from the outside. He needs to work on his motor and has a frame that with added strength could dominate on the inside. He is the defnition of a stretch 4, and is coming to the right program. He will not see playing time unless he works on his defiecienies, mainly defense. Cronin and the assistants will undoubtedly be hard on him, and hopefully he listens and understands that they are trying to maximze his potential. He has the ability to be one of the best big men in the program in the past 15 years.

This kid lost a lot of weight between his freshman and senior year. That tells me he's taking this seriously and will do the work outside of the spotlight. I'm really excited about his UC career.

What a heartbreaker!!! we were actually down 20 at one point..... 52-32.... i couldn't be more proud of that group of young men.... like our coach said most teams would have packed it in down 20 and said we had a great season but we clawed our way back thanks to a 26-7 run... when towns fouled out with 5:20 left in the game we were down 13 and pulled within 1 at 58-57 we could just not get over the hump.... it would have been the greatest comeback in the history of NJ high school basketball given the stakes and what was on the line in the game .... i have never seen a team so down and subdued after a win as st joes was at the press conference... their point guard went as far as to call it embarrassing......

Quadri has etched his name as one of the greatest players to ever wear a Linden Tiger uniform and with our rich history that is saying a lot... he is all yours now guys take it easy on him... lol nah im kidding don't worry about me (not that you are) you aren't going to hurt my feelings being critical of him lol.... so i will step back and hopefully watch him develop into a better and better player just like i saw him do from season to season at linden.....

Thanks for being a part of the forum. Enjoyed the updates during the season!

Thanks for all the info. Maybe you can make a road trip next year and see him play in person.

Congratulations to Quadri for making the Madison Square Garden Tri-State 1st Team!

Congratulations to MSG Varsity's 2013-14 All-Metro Boys Basketball Team. Meet the team:

TRI-STATE MVP
KARL TOWNS - Center/Forward - Senior
St. Joseph Metuchen, N.J. 7-0, 235 lbs.
Committed to Kentucky

The big guy permanently affixed a stamp of greatness to his name by steering the Falcons to the Tournament of Champions title Monday night, 49-47, over Newark East Side. The 7-0 Towns had already snapped up numerous personal accolades -- including 2014 McDonald's All-American -- and achieved many other team-oriented goals, as well, but truly cemented his legacy with the overall title. Towns scored just eight points in that bruising clash with East Side, but he did collect eight rebounds and had three blocks. He also opened the third quarter with two strong low-post moves that made his intentions quite clear: He wasn't leaving Trenton without a gold ball. Towns averaged 20.9 points, 14 rebounds, 6.2 blocks this season for the 30-2 Falcons and he closed his career with 1,639 points. -- Mike Kinney

MATT FARRELL - Point Guard - Senior
Point Pleasant Beach, N.J. 6-1, 175 lbs.
Committed to Notre Dame

His quickness, deft passing ability and finishing skills made Farrell one of the top backcourt men at the Shore since his freshman year. His intellect for the game, strong leadership and fierce drive raised that reputation significantly the past two years. He arguably became the best point guard in New Jersey. Farrell scored over 1,400 points and also chalked up over 500 assists and steals in his career, numbers achieved by his desire to orchestrate the right play each trip down the floor. He led his Garnet Gulls to their fist Group 1 state championship last year and to their first Shore Conference Tournament crown this season -- Mike Kinney

AKBAR HOFFMAN - Guard - Senior
Newark East Side, N.J. 6-1, 185 lbs.
Undecided

East Side lost only two of its 32 games this season, and one of those was played without Hoffman; he was out with pneumonia Feb. 6 against Seton Hall Prep and the Red Raiders fell, 59-57. The versatile guard offered up a suggestion of how that game might have concluded with him in uniform when East Side met up again with the Prep. He scored 23 points, 14 alone in the first quarter, to spark a 60-42 win in the Essex County Tournament final. Hoffman used his smooth jumper and dribble drive to average 15.7 ppg. and emerge as the team's clutch man in most of the big ones. -- Mike Kinney

KHADEEN CARRINGTON - Guard - Senior
Bishop Loughlin, NYC. 6-3, 190 lbs.
Committed to Seton Hall

A four-year varsity player, Carrington will graduate Bishop Loughlin as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,196 points. Known as one of the one of the city’s top scorers, Carrington, who averaged 24.2 points per game, greatly improved his jump-shooting as a senior. The Seton Hall-bound guard was named CHSAA Player of the Year by the league’s coaches, scored 42 points in the Brooklyn/Queens Diocesan final and guided the Lions to the CHSAA Class AA title game for a second straight year. -- Dylan Butler

QUADRI MOORE - Forward - Senior
Linden, N.J., 6-8, 230 lbs.
Committed to Cincinnati

He started as a freshman at Linden and, of course, as a senior. But besides a soft touch from the perimeter , there is almost nothing else about Moore's game or his body that are still recognizable. Moore cut almost 70 pounds since then to transform himself into a well-sculpted 6-8, 230 athlete. He moved closer the low blocks with each season until he had finally become a full-fledged interior force for the Tigers. He averaged 16.5 points and 10.3 rebounds this season to guide Linden to its first Group 4 championship since 2007. -- Mike Kinney

ISAIAH WHITEHEAD - Guard - Senior
Lincoln, NYC. 6-4, 205 lbs.
Committed to Seton Hall

Touted as the next great player from Coney Island even before his freshman year at Lincoln, Whitehead met the lofty expectations as a four-year varsity player. The Seton Hall-bound guard averaged 23.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game, leading the Railsplitters to the PSAL Class AA semifinals. Whitehead was named a McDonald’s All-American, following in the footsteps of former Lincoln greats Stephon Marbury, Lance Stephenson and Sebastian Telfair. -- Dylan Butler

Saw ESPN dropped him to a 3 star and 75 overall

ESPN has become very lazy with their recruiting information which is why I don't pay much attention to it. I have seen it with football and basketball, when a recruit picks a school, that has as much to do with how many stars are next to their name as anything else. It's a shame but the way it is.

Ever since Dave Telep left ESPN for the NBA they have been a complete mess. Future150 probably is my favorite rating site out there right now. They have camps and see kids across the country multiple times. It's impossible to get everything right and see everybody and then figure out exactly where someone should be when putting together a top 100. To say Quadri is a 75 3* and not ranked in the top 100 and then say Karl Towns is a 96 5* ranked 9th in the country is laughable on a scale not yet known. The talent gap is not eve close to that. One is going to Cincinnati and the other is going to Kentucky. Just saying.
