ESPN has become very lazy with their recruiting information which is why I don't pay much attention to it. I have seen it with football and basketball, when a recruit picks a school, that has as much to do with how many stars are next to their name as anything else. It's a shame but the way it is.

It's surprising they don't have better recruiting analysis considering how much money they have.

I use my buddy's Insider account on ESPN every once in a while and it's a joke. They provide little to nothing. Free sites (such as 247) provide more analysis, and update more frequently than twice a year.

No sites downgrade players based on where they commit, despite what fans of every teams think. They may rank partially based on the teams that recruit and offer them, which is justifiable.

I disagree with that, it happens in football and basketball. The fact that they downgraded Quadri that much is a joke when he played just as good if not better than Towns all year.

First, it doesn't. For every UC player that has been downgraded there has been someone who has been upgraded.

Second, answer me how many times you have seen Quadri play? And how many times have you seen Towns play? I'm going to assume the answer is either never or very few times, yet somehow you know enough to say it's a joke?

Too many UC fans have a serious inferiority complex and will complain about every "slight." Not worth your time straightening those guys out.

I think Gary Clark got upgraded. It does seem like it's hard for players to break through in the rankings if they weren't identified early in the process.

So your telling me Towns who averaged 4 more ppg and 5 more rpg is a consensus top 5 recruit and a 5 star and Moore is a 3 star when Moore had to carry his team (only one teammate made an all area team) and was always at least double teamed and Towns was on a team with other very good players (two teammates on all area first team and two more on all area third team)?

So you have seen them play?

I've only seen highlights of Moore and haven't seen anything of Towns. I couldn't tell you who is better or who should be ranked higher. Nor will I say it's a joke one way or another if I haven't even seen them play. I will say that the fact that Towns is going to UK and had offers from Duke, UConn, Florida and others says a lot about the type of player that coaches think he is.

I have not seen either play live. Your point is fair and I understand what your saying, I just think its crazy that Towns is a consensus top 5 player and a 5 star and Moore is a 3 star when you look at stats and the situation both of them are in.

I have seen both of them play (against each other for that matter) and I definitely think Towns is much better player at this point.

Congrats to Quadri Moore 1st team all state union county player of year and first team all tri state. Proud of you

Finally found a recent game highlight for Quadri, see below. He hits a nice running hook, toward the end. The more video I see of him, the more I'm impressed with his low-post play and the fact that he does not shy away from contact. Add another 25 lbs of muscle on his frame and he will be unstoppable inside.
