Did I miss something that Quadri is supposed to come in and make shots?!?! Holy...NO! His job as Fr/So is to come in, earn minutes, box out, make the pass available. If you saw that from his from years 1-2 I'd love to have your glasses. Comparing him to Parker or Bishop or the rest seems like blasphemy. I've yelled at Moore through my TV or in person is 8x Parker's entire career.

Quadri's Per has been 7 and 8... Parkers? 17 17 and 15 through his career.

Maybe I'm off base - but I respect what the Parker's, Bishops, did for the UC program. I do not see a single reference to Quadri in them.

For what its worth on saying 'Logan was just offense' - Logan Defense win shares his freshman/sophomore year were .9 and 1.3, Quadri's are .4 and .4

amazing to me that you want to change a top 20 defense. Your reasoning is not the product of a good Catholic education. Lol

40% of that team is gone. Of the players left, we have the conference defensive player of the year, a guard that people say is an even better on ball defender, and a 6'6" wing who showed as a FR that he can hold his own for all 40 minutes. What makes you think we'd fall off a cliff defensively if we played more man?

For what its worth - I appreciated Cobb's career - but replacing Cobb's 6'1" frame in a Matchup zone vs KJ's 6'3" and more active defense can make a difference. Not to mention Cumberland is 6'4" to Cobb's stature. We're a team that is primed to have some long wing spans in a matchup zone. I would hope any defense is very effective, but the matchup zone could improve next year.

1 in 3 students will transfer during their time in college.

I don't hear anyone talking about that being an issue.

Not sure why athletes should be any different.

So you think athletes should follow all the same rules as your regular college student? And you can't see any reasons why there is a difference? Hmm.

Quadri is awful. I'm sorry to say but to say that he was playing a great game makes me judge everyones basketball IQ who agrees with that statement. He plays absolutely no defense at all. His closeouts are terrible. He has no help defense or on ball defense at all. He rarely ever boxes out and goes after rebounds. He releases to try to get a head start on the break instead of rebounding. He released in that game giving up layups off rebounds a lot to his man. Offense is all that matters to him. He travels almost every time he touches the ball. Yeah he hit a couple wide open shots against St Joe but he does way more damage being on the floor than the tiny couple shots he hit that are good. He doesn't belong playing at this level. If we want to win championships and compete at the highest level kids like that are not in the ingredients.

We would be LUCKY if he transferred.

I hate seeing people stretch to even try to compliment this kids game or act like he is going to be anything. He is wasting a scholarship spot.

Totally agree. Quadri made a couple shots but he gave up more points then he scored, plus he fouled yet another 3 pointer shooter and gave up a 4 point play. How many times has he done that?

if it ain't broke I ain't fixing it.

Quadri's been a good teammate /student and who knows what he contributes his last two years. Or we could run him out and guy that doesn't want to be a bearcat.maybe pick up a Strickland - Morman- Lawrence or

KsKenyon4 - where can I find PER (player efficiency rating) data, such as the stats you are referencing of Quadri and Parker?

Thanks!

Cane Broome made unofficial to Providence today, planning to visit Creighton and Cincinnati over next 2 weeks

This would be a big pick up for UC. A scoring PG that would sit this year and then have 2 more years to play. Our PG concerns would go by the waste side. I hope this kid looks at the opportunity here to play with some really good players and be the starting PG his next two seasons.

There also the kid from Dayton, AJ Harris who is transferring from Ohio State. 4 star PG would have 3 years of eligibility after sitting out. I don't know if we've reached out.

or we could mutually agree to part ways since we'd be better off with an extra scholarship while he could go somewhere else where he might actually make a meaningful contribution, which he'll never do here.

What happened to it being the kids decision on whether or not to transfer? What if he doesn't want to leave?

are you familiar with what it means to mutually agree to something?

if he doesn't want to leave, he can continue to ride the bench and do nothing for his whole career.

well, i'd personally not renew his scholarship, and he'd be welcome to pay his own way to sit on my bench. i doubt mick would want that publicity, though.

Let me preface this by saying that I'm dumb as shit. That being said, I see no reason why Quadri can't become an all conference player. Let's not forget Kenyon was once not the player of the year, but then he became player of the year.

Also you're not the coach Madman. Mick is the coach. Quadri is a player.

You wouldnt be coaching very long

players who blow get pushed out of programs all the time. typically it doesn't come down to yanking a kid's scholarship.

someone like quadri would certainly be inspired to think about transferring if the coach went to him and said, "hey kid - you just really suck and are absolutely never going to contribute a net positive here, so we might want to think about finding a better personal opportunity for you."

rarely are you going to find a kid who would want to stay and sit on the bench like a ******* loser.
