Tre is a lot more skilled than JJ was as a young guy. He can really pass out of the high post, and can put the ball on the floor and drive from there as well. Just needs to continue working on his mechanics and release point on the mid range jumper. I'm sure they will also be working with him on some of the give and go type stuff JJ used to be effective as a senior. As far as being a block to block big man, that's not who he is at all...

Good to know! Thanks for your thoughts!

Jacob you broke my heart lol. Didn't Washington play?
Washington played in the team scrimmage before the season started in the what used to be "midnight madness" where they introduce the new team and what not. We will probably get to see a little of Broome during that I would assume.

Really wish they would bring back Midnight Madness.... sighhh

Yeah me too. I would make a trip to town just for that.

Maybe if we ever get a new arena they would bring it back. Being able to turn off the lights, making special player intros etc, would def help bring it back. Mick should put the demand in contract.

They had the same old arena when they used to do it. They just need to bring back the dunk competition aspect of it. Still run up and down and scrimmage for a little bit. And bring back all the old players to support. It wouldn't be hard to do I don't know why they don't do it anymore. I used to look forward to midnight madness every year!

I agree why not promote the program? We used to love Midnight Madness! I'm sure you could get 5 or 10 former players to be there too. Get Terry Nelson to MC it. Why not have a dunk competition? I'm sure they do it in practice and when the coach is not around.

I agree with Chad tre Scott will play the 4 and won't play the 3, are only back up for Evans right now at the 3 is Cumberland.

I could see if foul trouble or injury was a situation we would play a 3 guard set with Jenifer caupain and kj before Scott got time at the 3.

We had a dunk competition for my AAU organization the kids loved it even the ones not competing in it that were just watching it. There is no reason why we cant and shouldn't bring back midnight madness. Have the dunk competition run some 5 on 5 scrimmage and bring back SK, Kenyon, J Max, Hicks, James White, ect... get as many of them as you can in the building and promote the crap out of it. Promote the crap out of the basketball team and create some buzz and excitement!

So much swag in that video. That's when we were a true basketball university. Football was a distant second.

On the wing we have Evans, KJ, and Cumberland. I assume Evans will get 30 minutes plus, KJ will get 25, and there will be about 20-25 left for Cumberland or perhaps emergency spot minutes for a different position player to slide over such as a PG or F.

There are several things that scare me about the lack of depth here. #1 is that KJ is a sub par starting wing IMO. #2 Cumberland is a frosh and we don't know how D1 ready he is right now. We can't assume he will work out like Evans did...not many frosh make the adjustment right away.

So what happens if Cumberland isn't quite ready? What happens if we see a few games with injuries like Thomas, Cobb, and Evans experienced last season. What if both happen? What if we have foul trouble during those times?

We don't really have a big who has the skill set for perimeter play and Jenifer was barely trusted on the court last year. Do we really want to go into the season hoping that Cumberland is ready and that we don't experience an injury? That scares the shyte out of me.

I think we need to grab a wing as the highest priority. One who doesn't have to sit out. Someone like when we grabbed Cobb.

WH I want a wing as well but I certainly want a big.

Waite, I would love to get both...but if I had to pick one or the other it would definitely be a wing for me.

Hopefully they get both!!! When you Have a set line up for the next two years it will be a tough sell getting players to come here without offering immediate PT.
