You could see what Justin Jackson brought to the table in his early years. He was a high energy guy who played great defense. Quadri has never once shown me he will be a reliable player for us. I want everyone to do well believe me, but it's not realistic quadri Moore was a flop and we have to cut our losses. He's probably the worse player in the mick Cronin era.

Yes he was high energy, but he also made a lot of mistakes that made me throw things. Then he found his niche and his role on the team. All we need Quad to do is backup the 5 for 10 minutes or so. Have him stay in the post on Defense and find a man to box out.

With Clark and Washington both in the same class as Quad we are never going to need him to start or play alot of minutes.

I think people are really off if they believe that Tre Scott is not going to be a bigger part of this years team. He will be able to score inside and out. He handles the ball better than Clark. Scout in Georgia said he was best passer in state. Played WR on football team. He can shoot the 3. Everybody talks about Evans and Clark and Washington, I think Scott will be the biggest surprise of the year.

love to see that. would also like to see Broome when practice starts. Hope Chad or someone can give updates. think Broome can play in the two preseason games also

Its funny to me that all sounds super easy to get him to realize as a player that's what he needs to do and to only do that, but I am a coach and believe me a guy like Quadri you can tell him what he needs to do until you are blue in the face and he will never do it. He thinks he is athletic, he thinks he is a shooter, he thinks he is a guard, he doesn't like playing defense, he doesn't like rebounding, he doesn't have that killer instinct and want to stick his nose in there. Quadri is a bust. Even watching his videos when we were recruiting him I could tell he didn't have it and was soft.

Tre Scott needs to be big for us next year putting in minutes at the 3 and 4 spot. I don't see why he couldn't be big for us next year he has the size and athleticism. He is basically Shaq but a better ball handler passer and shooter. I think with some playing time and middle of the season he will be a confident player giving us good minutes.

JJ just needs more minutes. He will be fine.

We need another big. Holden reminds me of kind of an Octavius Ellis type player. Wouldnt mind adding him but I still think we need a big bruiser and another knock down shooter and we would have a very deep solid team this coming year.

Tre is not a reliable shooter, at least to this point. His shot is flat and his mechanics are a bit inconsistent. He has a chance to be a really good player here, but that part of his game is still very much a work in progress...

Tre is not a 3. He's an athletic, high energy 4 with good overall skills but limited scoring ability right now. No point in making him out to be something he's not before he plays a minute...

While I value your opinion sir, I am not obligated to agree with it. When the season starts we shall see.

It isn't what I would call an opinion. It is an evaluation based on watching him play over the past year. If you want to disagree with that, by all means feel free...

Just from the little I see, I automatically think of Justin Jackson. Wouldnt it be more beneficial for Scott to develop fom the start what took Justin 3 years to figure out...post moves?! Is that accurate or off base? If it's somewhat true, do you think the coaches and himself know that.

Jackson had to get the ball in the post bc we literally had nothing else on the roster besides SK. Thankfully, I don't think we'll ever have that issue during Scott's career. Jmo, but it wouldn't ever make sense to feed him in the post. That seems like it'd be extremely low on our list of offensive priorities.

Do you know if he's 225+? Wasn't he pretty thin when he came in?

He got up to about 228 or so and then got mono the last month of the season and dropped a ton of weight. He told me he was back to about 215 at the banquet and working to put the rest back on by the start of workouts in June...

It would be a waste not to have him post up. Regardless, he has to play around the rim. I don't think he will ever have the skills to play a 3. It just seems most reasonable to utilize around the post.

Tre is a lot more skilled than JJ was as a young guy. He can really pass out of the high post, and can put the ball on the floor and drive from there as well. Just needs to continue working on his mechanics and release point on the mid range jumper. I'm sure they will also be working with him on some of the give and go type stuff JJ used to be effective as a senior. As far as being a block to block big man, that's not who he is at all...

Thanks. Seems like he has the frame to keep filling out as he gets older. Hopefully he can stay up there this year if he's going to be at the 4.

The one part of Scott's game, based on watching 4 or so complete games as a senior that did concern me was on a lot of his drives to the basket he was out of control. I do hope he puts it all together faster than Shaq or Meanface.

Thanx for the reminder AZ! I think I may go to a preseason game just for that (and JJ). LT can u save me a seat in the big shot section? Maybe some red sweater guys want to skip thwm. Really excited to see them both.
