We sweep this week and will move to 10 if any one loses

Looks like you were right about WVU lol. And we both were right about X haha. But yeah anyone loses 7-10 this week and we should be on for sure. Would have loved to see Miami get the upset tonight. Let Duke finish the game 27-9. Goes to show it's not how you start but how you finish.

I still think Oklahoma is overrated. Trae Young is just a monster. But he can't do everything, and the team revolves around him WAY too much.

Kentucky and Oklahoma lose tonight. Oklahoma has terrible defense and if Young isn't scoring in the 30s they just aren't all that good. Don't see them falling past us but they really should. kentuxky will just keep falling, no chemistry,m. SEC is a little better than it's been the past few years they will probably drop a few more before it's all said and done.

I'd love to get matched up against them in the tournament. Just play man with Evans/Moore/Williams on Young all night and win by 25. No way is he putting up 35 points with Evans in his grill the entire game. And we all know Evans doesn't get tired.

I think more so than Oklahoma being over rated, Is that the advanced scouting tapes are out on them. It’s their turn adjust and play different.

A team that has 8 top 78 wins cannot be over rated. They deserve their ranking however now they have to earn keeping and make adjustments.

I’d actually rather not play Oklahoma. We tend to not do so well Against lottery pick PG guards and their Defense, while not elite, is still top 55 Against absolutely elite competition.

This late in the season and in conference play, you start to get figured out. Mich st going through the same thing. But they no doubt good teams

Call it what you will, they're more than one dimensional but close. If you can slow young down you have a really good chance of beating them.

Texas tech goes down to Texas along with Wichita State. So that's the 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th ranked teams all already with a loss this week. Really hoping Seton Hall can rebound with a win over Xavier on Saturday. Top ten looks inevitable next week, depending how the rest of the weekend goes we should end up anywhere from 7-9. 7 would be extremely good, I'm thinking 8-9 though.

I shouldn't be this excited about this, but guys, we are now #6 in Kenpom. And that's with an offense still ranked outside of the top 50....

If the offense makes some strides, improves, and finished in the top 30...Well we might just be, but I won't say it

The most encouraging thing for me is I really don't think we have played our best basketball yet.

The defense has been unbelievable this year! I think we have a better offense than we have shown so far. I think Cumberland will start to become a little more consistent and a lot will depend on how many minutes Cane will see the rest of the way. We have been getting off good shots for most of the year outside of pressing a little bit early on in a few games. I think we will even see a few easier looks the more Cane gets in there...not to mention his ability to put some fouls on the other team at the rack.

is this our highest ever ranking on kenpom? i would have to guess yes.

We finished the season in 2002 at #2. Definitely the highest in the Cronin era though.

We had the #7 ranked offense and #3 ranked defense that year.

I really think bearcats Are getting a lot more love than last year. Reading the ESPN power rankings (our lowest ranking anywhere), they say they have them underrated. If we can get through the season only dropping two more games. @SMU, @Houston, @wichita state. I really like our chances at a 2-3 seed. The water is gonna be so muddied by the end of the season. A lot of teams are gonna have 5 and 6 losses. If the road games in Texas weren't back to back I'd be very confident in winning both. I still do like our chances though. I just hate we play Wichita State away for the last game of the season. Sucks to end the season with and L. But it'd be a lot easier to handle it we don't lose again until then lol.
Point is, we've haven't got the seeding in the past, our offense just wasn't that good despite how good our D was, add that in with conference affiliation and you get a lower than you should seed. The perception of our team wasn't great, metrics didn't love us. This year it just feels different, and even though we dropped a couple early we have one every game that we should win and that's big. Cats are getting no lower than a 4 this year, I really believe 2-3 probably 3 is most likely.
