Similar in result defensively but completely different style.

Their style works but it’s just harder to watch them than it is to watch UC

not sure about that over the previous 4 seasons. a lot of casual fans don't enjoy watching us play either.

i enjoy watching both.

UVA certainly looks good on KenPom AdjEM. Clearly in a group with Vill and Purdue. UC securely in the next group of 4.

I’m talking about this season specifically. UC presses and switches everything and tries to generate live ball turnovers.

While the pack line defense can generate turnovers, it’s generally all about making you take shots you don’t want to take.

I’d rather watch a UC style defense than a packline.

But yea the old match up zone was tougher to watch especially for non UC fans

I personally love defense

I really thought we might have a chance to catch UVA this year in D ranking. Not so much after holding #18 to 36 points...geesh!!

Watching miss st, Kentucky and they are talking about how so many teams have dropped 2-3 games in a row.. I swear these guys listen to my thoughts better than Facebook lol

But I agree we've been a water down version of Virginia to some extent. This year, our offense is much better than theirs. Yes they're efficient, but as far as offensive skill, they just don't match the bearcats. I really think we would play them pretty well. Would be a great game.

I don’t want to model after Virginia though. It’s just not a winning formula in the tourney to play that slow.

I want our great pressure defense (a completely different style then uva) and some offensive pace. They play slow on both ends and lose because of it in the tourney when they face well coached teams.

I just want versatility and I believe we have versatility this year

Fan 1... Did you see the UC vs UVA game? Ended 37-39... what a game!

Fan 2... I thought football season was over?

I agree completely. It's a good formula for beating a lot of teams, but it is much more likely to get you in trouble come tourney time. Like you said we are very versatile, we can score and play defense very well, at any pace.

Ridiculous ending to the OSU/Penn State game. Could help us out. OSU only has one Group 1 win, and now they have a bad loss too.

UCLA down 11 at home to Cal midway through the first half and Thomas Welsh goes down with a knee injury. The wheels are really falling off for them.

No clue where to put this. but after all the MSU stuff that came out today about the football and basketball program, the real bombshell just hit.

https://theathletic.com/223555/2018...ichigan-state-sexual-assault-reports-in-2010/

NCAA president Mark Emmert was specifically alerted in November 2010 — six months after he was hired as the organization's president — to 37 reports involving Michigan State athletes sexually assaulting women.

MSU, Baylor, Louisville...all should be severely punished. How on earth these institutions athletic departments can be allowed to operate is amazing. I am willing to bet that Uconn gets harsher punishment than all three.

Any university that covers up sexual assault should be booted from their conferences and all scholarships revoked. The individuals covering up these serious crimes should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

This crap is insane and out of control.
