Lance McAlister has sent Tommy T an invitation to be in studio next week. I hope that he accepts and Lance lights him up.

But but Coach Tuberville is a good guy! I told everyone after he was hired that the guy is a first class @sshole. Sorry Tubby, your snake oil salesmen routine isn't going to work here. Get lost.

Lance doesn't "light" anyone up (except some ridiculous callers from time to time). If Tubs comes on, it will be interesting but hardly earth shattering IMO.

I love how that guy was talking about how he's so happy to have a classy coach like Tuberville...remember when he yelled "Go to hell!" at a fan like 2 weeks ago. THAT was classy!

I hope not. He's been a disaster for the past few years. I dont like the idea of getting a guy who has just been fired. Need an up and comer imo.

Amen to this. Strong is a good coach but we don't need another stability guy. I'd rather roll the dice on an up and comer who will be the next Tom Herman in 3-4 years.

The way I see it, if every top program in the country has a former UC coach at the helm then it means we were having success for a long period of time. We are a stepping stone program, no sense in avoiding that reality, so let's swing for the fences.

They just lost to KU. You're still giving him the benefit of the doubt?

His record without Teddy Bridgewater isn't very pretty. I think he'd be okay but I'd much rather prefer someone like Brohm or even Orlando the DC at Houston (though he's probably improbable to land).

Wonder if Charlie Strong would be on our list to replace TT?

I think a top power conference school will bring him in as some sort of special assistant, co-coordinator, associate head coach, etc. OSU and Alabama seem to be doing this lately with wayward coaches. Another school might add to the trend by bringing Strong in.

MAY I SUGGEST

Since there seems to be so much confusion as to who to bring in--stepping stone coach, stability coach, a coach that just got fired, an up and coming coach, an offensive or defensive coordinator, Kerry Combs, etc., I suggest that UC save themselves a couple million dollars and allow Coach Tubs to finish out his contract.

UC will cost themselves much more than "a couple million dollars" if they do what you suggest. That, in my opinion, is the worst possible option.

Coach Tubs just said the American is as good a conference top to bottom as any in the country, including the SEC.

Now he's just trolling on purpose.

logical equivalency: since there are many approaches to combating your cancer and it's impossible to know the best approach, i suggest you save yourself the money and allow the cancer to grow unchecked.

A lot of those things you listed are the same. Like "stepping stone", OC, DC, and up and comer all the same. "Stability" and just got fired are kind of the same too. It's not as complicated as you're trying to make it seem.

I am not trying to make it complicated. On one hand, someone will say, "I don't want a coach that just got fired", and on the other hand they say, "I would take Les Miles in a second". There are people out there, just like you guys clamoring for Charlie Strong's head, Brian Kelly's head, Mick Cronin's head, Mike Bohn's head and already got Les Miles head on a platter. Unless any of you have deep pockets, your opinion doesn't matter.
