I am not trying to make it complicated. On one hand, someone will say, "I don't want a coach that just got fired", and on the other hand they say, "I would take Les Miles in a second". There are people out there, just like you guys clamoring for Charlie Strong's head, Brian Kelly's head, Mick Cronin's head, Mike Bohn's head and already got Les Miles head on a platter. Unless any of you have deep pockets, your opinion doesn't matter.

Ok. Tuberville is still getting fired though.

He should have been gone after the Illinois game his first year. That's when I knew he was a lemon. However, I'm not too confident in Bohnhead. Apparently the administration is torn on the decision...

Anyone who is torn on it is a moron. Sounds harsh, I know. But wtf else do these people need to see? Kerry Coombs couldn't do worse.

Okay, I will be the first to say---I have been a UCAT member for 25 years, with reserve seats in football and basketball during this time, but if UC fires TT and has to buy him out, I no longer will join UCATS or buy season tickets. I will be finished with the whole thing.

IF the administration is torn, it is b/c of one reason, dollars. The question now is, you didn't spend 85 mil on a new stadium to have it a quarter full, except when FC plays there.

Thanks for coming, and peace out.

Next year will be my 10th as a season ticket holder. If Tommy is back, I will inversely be finished with the whole thing. I think there is more of me than you.

Just as a point of clarification, the University didn't spend $85 million on the stadium upgrades. That all came from private funding (i.e. shaking down big donors).

It doesn't change the argument, but I just wanted to clarify.

Coach Tubs just said the American is as good a conference top to bottom as any in the country, including the SEC.

Now he's just trolling on purpose.

I read this yesterday and couldn't believe that he said this out loud. What is wrong with this dude? Does he really think anyone believes that to be true? He must think the fan base at Cincinnati is clueless!

It's a very bizarre thing to say, I'm not sure what he hopes to gain by making that statement but surely he doesn't actually believe that's true.

Good riddance. You are probably the guy who stood up at the radio show and said those who want Tommy fired are in the minority. UC is backing a LOSER. His on field product is a disaster and now his off field product is even worse. There is no repairing the relationship with the fans. He is a dead man walking in Cincinnati and the administration knows it. They will lose so much more in revenue by the drop in season ticket sales and all that comes with it (Parking, concessions, ucats donations, suite renewals, ect..) than what his buyout will be. If he somehow is allowed back I will not renew season tickets and will donate the money to the tip off club for basketball.

Been a season ticket holder for many years, and an occasional game attender before that, since I was in college. I went to, and graduated from, a different university that didn't have a football team when I went there. But I've always been much more of a COLLEGE football fan than a pro football fan. So I will continue to get season tickets, even if TT stays.

BUT...there are thousands of fans, or potential fans, that won't. There is a whole generation of young fans that have grown up over the last 10-15 years and have seen UC football be successful. They are just now reaching the point where they are getting out in their own and will have to decide for themselves if they want to spend their own money on UC football. They are used to winning and won't accept anything else. There is a lot of competition for that money. I don't believe that it is in the best interest of the university to continue with Tuberville as the coach UNLESS he can turn things around NEXT year. Does anyone really believe he can? Can UC afford to take the chance that he can? I don't see how they can do that.

Tuberville: Not worried about my job. Worried about the players

Tom Groeschen ‏@TomGroeschen 1h1 hour ago
This hasn't been fun at all. It hasn't been fun to lose. ... I came here to stay. I didn't come to go to the pros or get another job.

Football program at Cincinnati is better than it's ever been. We're looking from the inside out. -- Tuberville

Re his job, Tuberville says he will talk with AD Mike Bohn at end of year, per usual. Says Bohn understands what he (Tuberville) is doing

Tuberville also says he wants to be an athletic director when he gets out of coaching:
'I think I'd be a good one.'

I've been a season ticket holder for 10 years now. Go to all the games, probably only missed 2 or 3 during that span. I love CFB and the atmosphere, love the social aspect of going down and tailgating with my friends. Everything about it is great.

I used to head down for tailgates and constantly be looking at my watch to see how much longer I had to wait for the game to start. The games were always, hands down, the BEST part of the day. This season I could have cared less about the games. I think I stayed till the end one time all season. Nothing about watching this team play was fun or exciting, no atmosphere in the stadium, basically nobody cares and they shouldn't because the team stinks.

If TT is back next season I'm not getting tickets. I might still come down and tailgate and have fun but there's zero reason to pay for tickets to a game I really have zero interest in watching us lose. Keeping TT would be the ultimate middle finger to the fans who pay for tickets. Despite what anyone says the fans are the most important part of all of this. No fans would mean no sports and no student athletes or multi million dollar buyouts. Without the fans none of this exists. UC has been giving basketball fans a middle finger for a decade now with Mick and I'm not going to stand for the same thing with football.

Chuck Gibson @espncollegenews @FOXsportsOH tweeting out that "unnamed source close to UC Bearcat football program says Tuberville out, asst. coaches packing up."

Now, I don't know if this is true or not, but I just received this message from my son-in-law, with a picture of the tweet included.

You hit the most critical part of all this. As much as older folks hate to admit this, the UC football program has a VERY young fan base. If you were in HS or college during the last 10 years and lived in this city, odds are you latched on to UC Football. This contingency of fans (myself included) wont put up with this losers mentality. I'm DONE with all 6 of our family tickets if Tuberville isn't fired.

I'm all about consistency -- go 9-4 or better every year, compete for AAC champs, get to a decent bowl game and win a bowl game or 2 over the years, and I am happy and content. Its the same principle WHY I view Mick Cronin differently than those who call for his head. He has consistently improved or at least held the status quo for his tenure, which is somewhat respectable. Anyone who compares Tuberville to Cronin is delusional and should "go to hell and get a job!" Not giving Cronin a free pass, and would certainly LOVE a coaching change in basketball too, but this is OUR reality right now at UC.

I am starting to get VERY worried about BOHNhead. All the rumblings and "sales job" quotes from Fluberville have me believing BOHNhead is squarely on the side of Fluberville. Defended him after the recent outburst and even refused to place any blame on him at the Town Hall Meeting recently. Guess we will know soon enough.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more.... I'm debating about not renewing mine if he is back. I'd venture to guess they'll lose at least 25 percent of their season ticket holders if he returns. M64W is literally the only person I've heard from out of upwards of 100 that have any support of tuberville. More power to him but I simply don't get it. They could bring a guy in for the next couple years for still a decent salary and still save money in not paying Tuberville's high salary. Loss ticket and donations will more than easily pay for it. If UC sticks with him they are sending a clear message they don't give any sort of desire to appease it's donors and supporters, nor do they really care about winning. UC had to put cops in the north end zone to protect Tuberville at the Memphis game so they clearly know the situation is past it's boiling point. So if they are fine with status quo then they will suffer the consequences.

One would argue that the winningest coach in college basketball under the age of 50 with 6 straight NCAA trips is hardly equal to a washed up 60+ yr old who inherited an up and coming football program and ran it into the ground while generating extreme level of hate from fans. But thats neither here nor there. Lets just do away with basketball and football and we can get in at rock bottom with UC baseball!
