Was not part of the program when van exel was. I think van exel would be an excellent hire as an assistant for a number of reasons. Recruiting, improve guard play, and link the past to the future

during pro he was. Van exel mom still leaves in city. Mick got job at uc for getting flint to sign. I don't really know connection but Mick also already had relationship with Louisville before Rick. Coach leon(Woodward) probably was his connection are Louisville. They had multiple guys signing with Louisville when Cronin was coaching in high school. Van exel, Patterson, blunt, martin, Johnson, satterfield, stokes, bj grove all use to come up Woodward to hoop after practice. Dennis bettis runs the deveroes league and is long time coach at woodward. Last i heard it was X players that hang out at school now.

If I never drove an car it's gone be nearly impossible to tell another man how to drive. If we don't have coach over 6'5 it's hard to teach our big men. Reason why Yancy peoples wanted coach Jack with him here. Coach jack had record has being one of best big coaches in area. Thompson, hill, Yancy, withrow C that shut martin down sr yr all his players
