I'm used to top 10 finishes and dream of making final 4. Now I'm finishing top 40 and praying make it in field of 65.
If we make the field it will be 6 straight years. When was our last top 10 finish and how many have we had since 63. How many times does something have to occur for you to be used to it? So in your mind getting a bit closer to winning a title is good for you?

Some answers for you. Our last top 10 finish in tourney was 1996. 20 seasons ago. Since 63 I think we have had 3 top 10 finishes. 92,93 and 96. All better then 20 years ago.

My bad top 10 ranking going into tournament. We had arguably the best college team of all time in 2000's couple years before Mick dug this program out of dirt. Mick was landing all Americans, 4* bigs and wings in first couple years now we're praying to make tournament? You have high school basketball players in Cincinnati that's NEVER heard of Mick. We knew Huggins in elementary

so ranking and not winning is good for you?

top 10 teams lose in tourney all the time

I rather lose as a top 4 seed having opportunities making sweet 16, elite 8 and final 4 over knowing good damn well we more likely lose our first game. When we get back looking forward to who we should match up with in sweet 16 instead of praying just to play in a play in game I'll be satisfied.

And Waite this I'm much how care about winning. I'll rather make NIT final 4 than lose opening weekend in ncaa as a 10 seed

We had that situation and we're losing in first weekend.

For a guy who professes to be all about winning and judging players by facial expressions how in the world can losing ever be enjoyable?

it wasnt i cried trust me. At end of day i felt my coach and player still gave their all. we always got the end of stick in brackets back then. i can tell you this though huggs would've never lost to Harvard or ecu
