I'll take it.

Questionable officiating all around, I think that Gardener kid initiated a lot of the bumps. I can't believe they got that hot from 3 in the second half.

officials tried there best to give marquette that game. three big men fouled out!

They definitely bailed out Gardner all night. He'd initiate the contact, throw up a wild shot, and then end up on the foul line. Frustrating.

To be fair, we did get a couple make-up type calls in the OT.

All I have to say about this one-Buzz Williams is a bitch, the refs let him talk for way 2 long. Bald black ref sucked, that "charge" was the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen. Sorry about the cursing, but this game was almost given away.

It wasn't given away and they won without their best player! Cmon guys this is a reason to celebrate. Most of us, me included, thought without Cash it was a sure loss. Big big win.

Mo Egger said it best...

Their guy gets a running dialogue for nearly a minute during a timeout, Mick can barely get the official to answer a question.

I don't hate Buzz like a lot of UC fans do, but he can definitely drive you nuts with his theatrics! I love when he was going crazy for a 10-second call just because the shot clock was at 25. We inbounded the ball with 31 on the shot clock. Come on, Buzz!

I am celebrating, but I have a newfound hate of Buzz. Oh well, he's the guy you love when he is your coach but hate when he is on the opposing bench. Lots of ticky tack calls both ways, not a fan of the BE refs this year. Killa really just put the team on his back tonight. Rubles had some nice buckets. Big guys were mediocre, but partially because of all the foul calls. Sanders started off hot and then faded. Shaq was invisible and Parker/Guyn did better than I thought.

Hopefully Caupain saw tonight in person how much this team needs a true ball handler when we don't have Cash. Not that Parker and Rubles looked horrible, but Parker and Cash obviously won't be here next year and we have a huge opening at PG. I still don't really trust Guyn that much. Caupain should work his tail off this summer and prove to Mick he is ready to take over the PG position from day one.

Also, I just wanna add that I wish Lawrence had attended this game. I would've liked our chances much more.

Guyn played 30 minutes without a turnover. I thought he played well under the circumstances.

Absolutely. He tweeted that he was watching the game, so hopefully he could get the vibe through the TV that the place was crazy tonight. Hopefully we can perform well against Syracuse so that he can buy in even more to us.

I am one of rubles' toughest critics but tonight he played a helluva game...his free throws were huge...I liked that he played within his limits...hope he can learn to finish down low, but I have to give credit where it's due...Guyn still does nothing for me but at least he can shoot ft's...I have never seen a coach get away with what Buzz did tonight...good win for UC...Syracuse is going to be interesting...
Go Bearcats!

Yeah I've never seen a coach get away with what Buzz was willing to do tonight. Especially one who is getting every call down low. I've never seen a ref jaw at a coach that long. Inexcusable. Your job as a ref is not to get into shouting matches with a coach. With that said, good win tonight. No Cash and they came out with the W. Rubles really stepped up with his free throws and Killa's 36 says enough. My only negative with the play is our second half D. We have to figure a way to quit giving up 50 points in the second half.

Also, I was really afraid to read through the comments of this game's thread after witnessing it in person. I guess we were all at the game and not able to put all our frustrations on this site.

Wow...

Just got home from the game a bit ago.... I practically lost my voice. What a crowd. What an atmosphere. What a game from SK.

Things that stood out to me.

Rubles 10-12 from the FT line.

SK obviously.

Justin I thought played a very good game. Stepped up and had a HUGE block on Gardner.

G played big minutes. 0 turnovers and 100% from the line. He needs to attack more.

Oo.. and these refs had zero clue what was going on at any point in the game. Ive never in my life seen a coach (buzz) just abuse a ref at every stoppage and not get a T. It was a game of "make up calls".... Not often do I complain about refs, especially in a win...
