I said they would leave the BE and join in either big 12 or acc in all sports except football...you and others ridiculed me for that mercilessly


I am now saying ul is going to leave for the acc or big 12...you and others are ridiculing me for that as well... I know what I'm talking about

Ul to the acc is looking like a real possibility now that the acc has 15 teams... They need #16

Weren't you the one who said they wouldn't leave the Big East because the BE had Madison Square Garden for their conference tourney? As if that really matters.

That was not me. I've been Adament in saying ul and uconn want out of big east. Jason and the rest disagree
 
God I want out of this conference. To me, it seems like we tried to get out when this all blew up awhile ago. My guess is we gauged interest and there wasn't much there. Now our only option is to fully endorse the Big East and hope for the best.

That is all speculation and based simply off of the feeling I get hearing all this. I hope that behind closed doors we are trying to get in the ACC or Big 12 and I pray it happens.

I hope the new commissioner have some new monster tv deal in the works cause the big east is done. uc can't afford that 5 million buy out either
 
So there is apparently a 50mil fee for acc teams who leave? That's good for us. The b12 is looking for two more teams for a ccg. If im uc, I'm packaging us with ul to go...easy travel partners, rivalry, solid programs, big state schools, etc.

The $50mil fee is great news for UC. Seems like 1 spot left in the ACC and several in the Big 12. Gotta find a seat fast. In fact, if UC every really gave up trying to find a different conference then I would fire that person today.

Gonna be kind of hard to make any waves without a full time president. Hopefully Ono gets the full time nod since he seems to have a very strong allegiance to the athletics department.

UC has to try to push hard to the Big 12, I still think that's a possibility. If we were to align ourselves with Louisville and make a hard push for acceptance I think we'd at least have a 50/50 chance of getting in. UC HAS to be proactive in this regard though. The phone calls won't come so you can't sit back and wait for the invite, if you want it you have to sell yourself.

EXACTLY right!
 
Going to be awfully tough to move when Nippert holds 36,000 give or take.

It's really a shame. We're playing such good football lately and would likely be at the top of the ACC, and probably even the middle of the Big 10 and Big 12.

Our limited football revenue just kills us.
