Ralph is most certainly not correct. The big 12 can split up less money Between 10 teams or substantially more money between 12. Also for their blockbuster sec big 12 bowl game, it states the big 12 must have a ccg. Which do you think they will ultimately choose?

Wrong again!! Regular season champions play in this bowl.

The Big 12 and the Southeastern conferences have announced a deal that will pit their football regular-season champions against each other in a New Year's Day bowl game for five years beginning in 2014, positioning themselves for the expected switch to a four-team playoff.

If one or both of the league champions are selected to play in the playoff, another team would be selected for the Big 12-SEC bowl showdown on Jan. 1.

Twitter rumors are saying Rutgers, UC, UConn, UL, and USF are all possible expansion targets for the Big 12

Seems all speculation to me. I didn't see anywhere that stated it is a requirement. As long as Tex/Okla want to stay at 10, big 12 stays at 10. Perhaps by the time this first bowl game rolls around, big 12 will want to expand to 12.

But you stated:
Also for their blockbuster sec big 12 bowl game, it states the big 12 must have a ccg
No where does it state that the big 12 MUST have championship game, all speculation right now.

It absolutely does. The sec requested it from the start.

Nice try there BM. But the link you provided gave no such requirement, just a lot of speculation from a bunch of Baylor posters and another article of that possibility, but NO Requirement.

There's no trying. I'm right. The SEC demanded the big 12 go to 12 by 2015 for the champions bowl.

I like you Ralph but you are wrong

You are the one who is incorrect. Dodds has said how wonderful it is that with 10 teams everyone will play everyone in football and everyone will play everyone home and home in basketball.

The Big 12 is not going to expand anytime soon.

We've gone over this ad nauseum. Ads, presidents, trustees etc always say that stuff in public.

The Missouri ad said they were happy with the big12 and wouldnt leave...shortly before they left.

They want 12 by the time the playoffs start

Incorrect, the Big 12 is very happy with a 10 team league with everyone playing everyone.

Not true and you know it. 12 plus a ccg makes substantially more money than 10. Tv, markets and revenue drive realignment not pr doublespeak

Wrong again, the TV networks told the Big 12 that a CCG would add $0 value.

The Big 12 expansion committee met in August and voted against expansion.

A lot has changed. Espn has changed everything. Rutgers, and ul Are talking with the big 12. If rutgers and/or uconn get invited to the big12 before uc, that would be disastrous. Uc has to do everything they can to hitch with ul

I don't think you even believe what you are saying

Wrong again, the Big 12 is currently talking to no one. In August the Big 12 expansion committee voted against expansion. Notre Dame was an independent in football 2 weeks ago and they remain an independent in football today, nothing has really changed. Conference realignment is all about football and adding value (TV dollars) to your TV contract. Rutgers and UConn would add nothing of value to the Big 12. The Big 10 and ACC commissioners and the Texas AD have all recently slammed the door on further expansion.

This is categorically incorrect and you know it. What they say publicly has no bearing on Espn telling them what they need to do to gain substantially more revenue.

Combine this and the fact that the champions bowl requires them to have a ccg in order to play the bowl game means there will be at least 12 teams by 2015. With the acc no longer a realistic option, Byu and the be ate the next best teams

There is absolutely nothing in the Champions Bowl agreement that requires the Big 12 to have a CCG, this has already been stated by both the commissioners of the Big 12 and SEC. I have no idea where you are getting this from.

ESPN told the Big 12 that the only team that would have added value to the Conference was to add ND for football and ND just joined the ACC for everything but football.

I have no idea where you are getting your information. Where ever you are getting your information from, it is a very, very, bad source.
