You just can't admit you are wrong can you?

You are the incorrect one. This from yesterday's Oklahoma newspaper:

Any news on Big 12 expansion?
Yes. The news is, they're not going to expand. At least not for a few years. The Big 12 will sit back and see how the new playoff system works before it considers expansion. That's not good news for Louisville, but that's just the way it is.

I said they would expand before the playoffs.before the 2015 season.

Still wrong, they are going to wait until a few years after the playoffs begin in 2015 to even consider expansion. No reason to split a pie 12 ways when you can split it 10 ways with each of the 10 getting a bigger piece.

Again. More revenue from a ccg along with pressure from the sec to have the champions bowl requiring a ccg = more revenue for all

Unless they signed a new contract agreeing to the $50 million exit fee they have a legitimite gripe. You can't just change the terms of existing contracts.

True. I guess they could have some legal ground since they were adamantly against it based on that "punitive" response given by their ad but it would probably be a long shot

Yeah I don't understand the legalities of the buyout anyway, aren't these non-profit organizations and aren't state schools at least partly government funded?

Not sure either. I would be upset if I were FSU's administration as well.

Here you are directly talking to the Big 12 about joining. By all indications, they are about to make the jump. The ACC commissioners realize this and tell no one how close ND is to actually joining. They announce ND joining out of the blue before you can make the jump to the Big 12, the buyout you voted against increases to $50mil, and you are stuck in a basketball 1st/football 2nd conference. I don't blame them and Maryland for being upset. I'm sure if they really want out bad enough, they could come to some form of agreement, but its not going to be cheap by any means

I still say that legally there has to be a signature on an agreement to the $50 million buyout or a bylaw in a signed contract stating the ACC has the right to change the buyout at anytime by majority vote, otherwise it won't stand up in court. The latter could be the case. If it were and FSU wanted out they should have announced their plans on leaving instead of placing a vote.

Hey Ralph, if big12 expansion is dead, then why is the expansion committee meeting again for the first time in months?

Espn is trying to gut the big east
