Yet another 3 without even attempting to get the ball inside the 3 point line.
Gaines sucks. Not sure why you are still stuck on that. Have you not been watching during the few times he's gotten in? The guy is not a D1 player.
Cronin said he hoped it wouldn't take a loss to kick this team in gear. Front court is far too talented for our offense to struggle this much. Back to the drawing board...Bearcats 1-1 on the night so it could be worse.
I said it couldnt hurt. Did you watch last year? When half the team was suspended? He did just as much if not more than these two clowns are doing now. Gaines will atleast MOVE
He will probably never do anything offensively-he only averaged 10 points a game in HS. Defensively, he could be a solid shot-blocker and rebounder. Cheikh 2.0 by next year?

I'm not sure what Cronin expects. HIS offense is setting them up for failure. I mean really, it isn't an offense. Have you ever seen so many players from the same team run into each other? It's been going on all year. If your players keep running into each other something is wrong.
And the back court is talented, but it isn't ridiculously talented. I got hammered earlier for saying this, but Cash isn't playing like a top PG. He is playing like a top shooter, but UC needs the PG to take control of the game. Part of that is the offense though....And SK is a very good player but he still struggles mightily with his handles and it leads to a lot of turnovers and it prevents him from driving by players. Parker is the same way. You ever notice how teams force him to drive left? It's because he refuses to and he can't finish with his left. If he does drive to his left it's an automatic spin to his right. Teams know this. Teams they played early on like Oregon and ISU may not have had time to scout but as the season goes on you can count on other teams knowing all this.
That brings us to the 4 spot. They may have gotten away with it earlier but teams now know that Rubles and Jackson are zero threat to score from the outside. Which means they really aren't a threat at all. Jackson is a walking turnover machine but again, it is only partly his fault. He is being put in a position to fail. Rubles has the talent but can't seem to put it together and I think that is mostly due to the fact that teams know he can't shoot (even though Jason doesn't think that would matter -- it does).
With all that being said this team still has the potential to be really good but they don't have the talent to run this offense (if that's what you call it). With how good their defense has been (excluding the second half tonight) they should be dominating teams.
Of course it could hurt. He has no idea what he is doing defensively. He is always out of position and his hands are so bad that even when he is in position he can't grab a rebound. Mbodj and DNy are way, way better.
Absolutely not. They did not execute micks gameplan.Mick got outcoached big time.
