What a disappointing loss. The first true test at home and they looked terrible. This offense is beyond pathetic and UC was completely out coached. Cronin has to think long and hard about what he is trying to do with the offense. Hell, they might as well just dribble down and fire up a 3 because that is all the offense is, except that they waste 20 seconds dribbling around each possession.

Where is the run and gun offense? I'm still waiting for it.

Ruined my night

Rubles should never shoot
Can we give Gaines a shot...cant hurt, post play is terrible
The D is still good, they hit some highly contested shots

Bobby Night has been sayin whay weve all wanted to see. No movement in the post or away from the ball

And say what you want about me, but I said this teams lack of offense is going to cost them some games. We can hit 3's against teams who give them to us

Gaines sucks. Not sure why you are still stuck on that. Have you not been watching during the few times he's gotten in? The guy is not a D1 player.

Mick is an excellent coach, but he needs to hire an offensive guru. His teams have such horrible offense, it is hard to watch. Defensively, he is one of the best in the country. We need better offense if we want to be good.

Cronin said he hoped it wouldn't take a loss to kick this team in gear. Front court is far too talented for our offense to struggle this much. Back to the drawing board...Bearcats 1-1 on the night so it could be worse.

I said it couldnt hurt. Did you watch last year? When half the team was suspended? He did just as much if not more than these two clowns are doing now. Gaines will atleast MOVE

Yeah, I really love Mick and he is the perfect coach for our school, but something has to change. If we want to take the next step as a program, 1) we need better recruits and 2) better offense. There is only 1 that you can physically control. We needed this loss-a little kick in the ass is good before Big East play. Can't shoot so many 3s. Easy buckets are really important. We miss lots of lay ups and have bad shot selection. We need another JaQuon Parker to step up amongst our young reserves. Someone else MUST attack the basket and get easier shots. The bigs need to give just a little more offensively-I know Cheikh and David aren't gonna combine for 20 points every night, but how about 7 points each.

He will probably never do anything offensively-he only averaged 10 points a game in HS. Defensively, he could be a solid shot-blocker and rebounder. Cheikh 2.0 by next year?

Im not saying Gaines is the solution by any means. Way too many issues. Im just saying Id rather have him in there busting his ass like he does than run to the offensive end and stand like the other 2 do

He def has potential to be 2.0 haha

I'm not sure what Cronin expects. HIS offense is setting them up for failure. I mean really, it isn't an offense. Have you ever seen so many players from the same team run into each other? It's been going on all year. If your players keep running into each other something is wrong.

And the back court is talented, but it isn't ridiculously talented. I got hammered earlier for saying this, but Cash isn't playing like a top PG. He is playing like a top shooter, but UC needs the PG to take control of the game. Part of that is the offense though....And SK is a very good player but he still struggles mightily with his handles and it leads to a lot of turnovers and it prevents him from driving by players. Parker is the same way. You ever notice how teams force him to drive left? It's because he refuses to and he can't finish with his left. If he does drive to his left it's an automatic spin to his right. Teams know this. Teams they played early on like Oregon and ISU may not have had time to scout but as the season goes on you can count on other teams knowing all this.

That brings us to the 4 spot. They may have gotten away with it earlier but teams now know that Rubles and Jackson are zero threat to score from the outside. Which means they really aren't a threat at all. Jackson is a walking turnover machine but again, it is only partly his fault. He is being put in a position to fail. Rubles has the talent but can't seem to put it together and I think that is mostly due to the fact that teams know he can't shoot (even though Jason doesn't think that would matter -- it does).

With all that being said this team still has the potential to be really good but they don't have the talent to run this offense (if that's what you call it). With how good their defense has been (excluding the second half tonight) they should be dominating teams.

Of course it could hurt. He has no idea what he is doing defensively. He is always out of position and his hands are so bad that even when he is in position he can't grab a rebound. Mbodj and DNy are way, way better.

I don't think one player can be blamed for our offense-everybody has struggled. Titus is the x-factor, he is the key for this team. If his jump shot improves just a little, Cash/Killa attack the bucket just a little more, this team is loaded. Rubles has a nice pump fake, but when you can't shoot, you can have the best pump fake ever and it would be ineffective.

Ok dude

Ill stick to my facts based on when he saw significant time last year and things seemed to jell. Also the TEAM

And Gaines has bad hands???? I thought tonight they were playing with a greased beachball. Mbodj could not hold onto the ball at all

Poor BearcatMick must have fallen asleep watching our offense. It is past his bedtime anyways, must be rough to live in your parent's basement.
