New Uni's

Anybody have any links to pictures? I know before the season I read in the Enquirer that UC would have new uniforms to wear during the BE Tourney and for the NCAA's if we got that far.

Has anyone seen these or have any idea what we're going to be looking at? I did hear someone say they'd be going with a grey uniform but that was just hearsay. That might make sense because a lot of teams have gone with alternate grey uni's this season.

The rumor is that Adidas was pissed off with all the publicity that Nike was getting with their crappy gray jerseys and may be doing something like that for their top tier schools. I have not seen them and don't have confirmation but that is the thought on the rumor mill.

Like everyone else on the site, I don't have a picture. But my friend in the athletic department did see them first-hand and described them as "grey with florescent red outlines, almost to the point of being orange." He really liked them, but I guess we will all have to wait for Thursday to judge for ourselves.

nike's publicity for the gray jerseys came within the last month. uc's grey uniforms have been known to the team since before the season started.

Don't like hearing that there is an orange tint to both the jersey's and the shoe laces, they could be playing the Syracuse Orange!

Apparently we're getting two new sets of uniforms. One grey set and one black set.

Just going by what I've heard so I very well may be wrong. Guess we'll all find out pretty shortly.

Funny thing is I read about the new jerseys in the beginning of the season when the Bearcats did a Hoops 101 where women came to 5/3rd and learned about basketball from Mick and the team. When they wrote an article about it in the paper there was a picture of Mick sitting with some ladies with the tagline Mick shows some ladies designs for the new jerseys the team will wear in the Big East tournament. So somewhere there are some women who went to bball 101 that have already seen the design.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek. It's true that it is an "off red." The material is incredibly light and the shoulder sleeves aren't as thick, which is what the players want. They are definitely different and will raise some eyebrows, especially from the older, traditional type of fans. And from what I've seen, they have some nice grey shoes for the grey uniforms and all "orange" shoes for the black uniforms.

Very disappointing. I'm not sure how you can screw up a schools color on their jerseys/shoes, etc.

It is only for this year and Whit said that we are one of 3 teams chosen to wear these during post seasons. I think that is pretty cool.

They are fine. A little orangish but not nearly as dramatic as many had said.

I like them.
