Nobody is saying anyone isn't good enough or is too far behind. I could see Clark being redshirted if Mick sees him as more of a 3 and he is behind Thomas and Sanders for minutes. That is a decent reason to redshirt a kid. In the case of Moore it could be another reason or no reason to redshirt.

There just isn't anyone else on the team that makes sense to redshirt unless injury or something. We don't have to redshirt anyone! What if Moore is behind Ellis and Clark at the 4 and Debarry, Ellis, and Strickland at the 5. Nobody knows. Maybe they are both ready...maybe one player needs to mature a little...maybe they don't pick up the system right away.

It's just that some people are saying "if someone happens to get redshirted...it could be so and so". Saying we SHOULD redshirt someone at this point is jumping the gun...it's just interesting speculation is all.

It could be that Moore and Clark turn out to be our best options at the 4 and 5 who knows. I hope they do...that would be awesome! I think they have just as much TALENT as the other 3 guys if not more.

Just checking in any news on redshirts? LOL. Going to check out the reds tonight.

I am not slapping a redshirt on anyone. Geesh. I am not saying it's likely either. If there would be a redshirt I just think he would be my most likely that's it. There are 3 bigs that won't or can't. The other one would be Clark and I think he's got the type of playing attitude that Mick likes...high motor. That is all I am basing it on.

I hope we redshirt no one...nor am I saying we will. However, if we do, every other player will be juco, already redshirted, or have playing experience already...except Clark and Moore.
in the ONLY game I've seen Clark play against guys on his level he had the LOWEST motor on floor

It was an all-star game, who cares???

The whole point of Clark this year (I hope) will be to come in for a few minutes at a time and fly around and be a high energy guy. His motor is the key to his minutes early in his career. He is aware of that. Mick will have him in a position to succeed. No worries about Clark at all. I cant wait for his first dunk.

Its something small but means a lot. Lets me know u don't give a care in world about being the best. For me to notice you was constantly last up and down court is alarming.

I say this realizing I will come across as a dick. There is literally no one on this planet whose opinion I respect less than yours on basketball. The fact that an all star game gives you pause over the entire season of reports about his motor, skill, and talent just shows I am valid in that opinion. It is small and therefore it means little. See the correlation? An entire season of being the best player in NC is very big therefore its mean a lot more. See the correlation?

It is true nothing is PERFECT, 95% of top 100 players playing means top 100 players aren't redshirting.

Well that's not what you said. You said Top 100 players dont redshirt. That is false. Which is right up your alley. Top 100 players do redshirt. Not a lot of them but they do. Which totally invalidates your original claim.

I'll be a dick and be the dumbest but you ALWAYS seems to comment on whatever I say. You have your opinion I have mine. I'll take what u did against guys on YOUR level than getting triple doubles against guys 6'1-6'3. I'm VERY HIGH on Clark don't get me wrong but if I believe the hype about you then you come to one of biggest games of year and play lazy in my opinion I'm getting on you for that. I didn't say Clark was weak or wasn't going to be any good I simply stated a FACT that in All star game Clark was constantly the last man up and down court.

Ah you absolutely did diss Clark. You called him lazy. Also IT IS NOT ONE OF THE BIGGEST GAMES OF THE YEAR. It was a ******** all star game. It wasnt for the state title. He wasnt there trying to get a high major offer. He played in the EYBL last summer. One of the toughest on the AAU circuit and absolutely tore it up including high marks for his great motor. Also I comment on your postings all the time because 99% of them are filled with uninformed and false statements. Sometimes they cant even be comprehended.

Just stop. You can't say top 100 recruits don't redshirt and it's not going to happen. Then get called out. Then make up some percentage to try and help your case of already being wrong once. People redshirt. Being a top 100 recruit means nothing if someone can't pick up the offense/defense or they are blocked and not going to receive minutes. Nothing you are saying is backed up by any facts. Some people redshirt. Some don't. There isn't some mathematically equation that determines who redshirts or not. The coach along with the player make that decision. High school stats and recruiting don't determine it

name me 5 top 100 players in UC history that voluntarily redshirted their freshman year. Put ur money where your mouth is boss. If you give me five I'll BAN MYSELF for a year. If you can't find at LEAST 3 you got to ban yourself for a week. Bet or no bet?
