How many turnovers did he have? While fg% is nice he didn't create anything or get to the foul line. I expect more from a player have so much hype and promise. We need more from him.

He had one TO. Parker had 3 turnovers, he's been a major dud this year.

People aren't hard enough on Parker, he needs to be better. His driving ability is what we need to take that next step. Mick needs to get SK to drive more and ride Parker's a$$ about driving. Wright doesn't need to score, he did a great job with his primary job of distributing.

Parker just seems to make so many boneheaded plays at the most in opportune times. He had a couple killer turnovers when the game was in the balance.

This sucks and is frustrating, but I trust Mick. It might take him awhile, but he knows how to push the right buttons. He is good at doing good with what he has. Jamaree Strickland will help us out so much next year, a big man that can score and has initiative. Add Lawrence, who probably thinks we suck now, and it could be better. People said I was crazy, but considering we have no inside presence, a solid big, Lawrence, and average guards w/ SK could be a deadly combo.

I have my reservations about getting my hopes up with a big man having an immediate impact. Strickland is an unheralded recruit with a history of knee injuries. I'll believe his impact when I see it.

He dropped 30 pounds and put up 41 in a game against 3rd best prep team in the nation. Was a 4 star recruit before he got hurt. Lawrence, even if only for a year, would change the game. He can do it all.

And Shaq and Sanders looked good. SK was okay. Everyone else sucked. Gaines is a 'tard.
Sanders was the only UC player to shadow Martin effectively...i thought Sanders and Thomas made great strides tonight...yet at the end of the game, they were on the bench and Rubles/Guyn was on the court...

The problem is Parker just isn't that good. He is a decent role player, nothing more. There isn't anything wrong with that with the exception that for some reason Mick thinks he has NBA talent.

I dunno. Mick seems to do more with less and he actually has more this year. It reminds me of Lance's year where Mick had no idea how to maximize his talent. What is going on so far this year is terrible. Neither Cash, Parker, or Kilpatrick's talents are being maximized.

Sanders has no business being on the court. Yet once again he had a stupid turnover inbounding the ball. That was a huge play, and ended up being a 4 point swing.

Mick actually said post game that Gaines did a good job on the pick and roll. Couldn't believe my ears.

Id like shaq getting a little more freedom.
Shaq deserves more opportunity...his length and speed add another element to the defense...and he is effective backing down his opponent and throwing it out...he has so much more to the offer than Rubles

He needs to keep driving, he has a unique skill set.

I don't see Lawrence being a 1-and-done type player. His upside is huge, but he's still very raw and getting hurt this year certainly didn't help his progression.

“He could be very good but more than anything else, he needs experience, he needs playing time,” New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski said. “He needs a lot of repetitions on the court in situations. He’s gotta learn to play hard all the time. When he does, he can be really a factor on the boards, especially on the offensive boards. And he changes ends as well as any big man you’ll find. He’s gotta build up his strength, his stamina and learn to play every possession.”

I'll settle for a big man that doesn't always get the ball slapped out of his hands. i love the cats but they are frustrating me now.

Shaquille is one guy that can actually get to the paint and doesn't settle for threes. He showed good on the ball defense as well. Any kid who is 6' 7", is a guard, and who can defend needs to see increases minutes.

i had to turn the radio off when Mick starting talking about how the team did many good things tonight...

Sanders needs confidence...he has the best basketball knowledge of any of the underclassmen...yes, he did screw up the inbound pass, but what he contributed tonight cannot be overlooked...

the stupidest thing i saw tonight came from everyone's favorite Rubles...the kid is so ignorant when it comes to basketball that he rolled an inbound pass while the clock was running...rubles in my opinion has no business on the floor compared to Sanders or Thomas...

Typical of a big time guy. He could still be a solid contributor and he could play the 3 or 4. His length would add a lot and he has good scoring ability. Thanks for the link.

Its too bad bball isnt set up like football.

Mick = DC
Bearcattalk = OC

But seriously, Im not joking

i think we lost Lawrence with the loss to SJU...saw this post on another site based upon an espn recruiting article...

Plans on making last official to St. Johns soon and then taking a few days after to sit down and make a decision.

What he likes about:

UNLV - warm weather, chance to play with Savon Goodman again (former AAU teammate)

St. Johns - Lavin is winning coach and turning program around; thinks he and Obekpa could work real well together (how bad does not getting Obekpa hurt now...even more)

Cincy - Coach Savino has been on him the longest and been great to him and his mother; loves the tough style of play and BearcatNation showed him a lot of love

nice guys finish last...especially when the nice guys cannot coach big men...
