I would say we have some basic problems
1. cant set a screen
2. we don't move without the ball
3. we cant get Jackson to simply catch the ball and play under control
4. we have no basketball IQ (mbodj should have been t'd up for that and guyn giving them a cheap two points by fouling a 93 percent free throw shooter)
5. we cant set a basic screen without fouling and on the rare occasions we don't foul, our guards don't even use them because they are ineffective
6. we suck at home and are better on the road
7. we come out flat everytime we play an inferior opponent (tonight, DePaul, wright state, xu, st johns) all just this season
8. wright doesn't know when to stop playing in your face defense
9. we cant stop or finish a half/game (look at our last 3 games: couldn't finish Marquette, couldn't start or finish the game against Syracuse, and couldn't start or finish DePaul)
10. we cant make free throws
11. we let them get wide open looks
12. we have no consistency with any of our players that includes SK, cash, and parker.
13. we don't have a clear rotation as Cronin for some reason goes with gaines over nyarsuk tonight and Jackson starting over rubles.
my favorite part is probably how everytime we get a rebound, we hold it and walk it up the floor to run our half court offense that I guess is so good that we don't need to get transition points. I dont want to hear Cronin in the post game reference the 9 day layoff cause that's not an excuse. if I am coaching, I hold 2 intra squad scrimmages over those 9 days to keep them in a regular schedule.
