What a pathetic showing on offense. I'm done with this game. Going out and enjoying the rest of my Saturday night... cheers.

Embarrassing. Cronin needs to be embarrassed. His team wasn't ready and you could tell from the start. Mack's team was. I've never seen a team play like such pussies as I have tonight.

Cronin better stop playing Guyn and Sanders. They suck. Play Caupain, Johnson, and Lawrence and let them get better. He has already held them back too much this year and it's showed. His players need to develop under him.

Thank goodness he is leaving Guyn on the bench most of this half. The free throw shooting in this game is pitiful though. Concentrate, concentrate, concentrate.
Robert my hope is he plays the freshmen and lives with their growing pains. They gut a butt whipping tonight and if some of the freshmen don't step up it will be a long season.

they have hit 7 3's. How'd we shoot free throws. How many TO's NM is much better.

And for the second straight game UC has scored 10 points or less in the first 10 minutes of the game. That's straight pathetic. What was your excuse last year for having a shitty offense? Two years ago? You ever stop and think it's a trend?

Yep. Johnson and Lawrence need to play 20 minutes... Thomas and Caupain need to play closer to 30. Along with Kilpatrick, those are the only guys on this team who have any hope of creating offense against better competition. And if I ever see Guyn, Sanders, Rubles, and Jackson on the floor at the same time again this season, my TV is going through the window.

I better hear a leader on this team say they're embarrassed. Can this staff recruit anyone who can shoot? This falls squarely on the staff from Mick on down. Year after year of not being able to score or having anything that remotely resembles an offense. It's horrible.

This. Specifically in regards to Sanders, he just isn't any good. He's one of the worst shooters for his size I can ever recall playing here. He has zero touch. His shots have no arch and usually aren't even close. He's slow and does little off the dribble as well.

That whole class is bad. Guyn, Sanders, JD3 and Thomas just aren't good basketball players. Thomas gets by, somewhat, on athletic ability alone. If recent recruiting classes and development are a sign of things to come then this team is getting very close to the teams before Huggs.

These guys just aren't quality players. We have no low post game, and no one capable of playing with their backs to the basket. We have terrible spacing, little to no movement without the ball, and a roster full of guys who aren't great shooters. That's a recipe for disaster.

Sucks to be a UC b-ball fan... I don't know what else to say. I'd trade not making the tourney in year 5 if meant us moving and trying something else. This program is headed nowhere.

The simple (and truthful) answer is no, they cannot. Not only can't they or haven't they, but it appears it is of no concern to them to even try. You keep seeing us pursuing only "combo" guards and "athletic" wing players. The problem is, if you're not getting the cream of the crop, then you have to have some guys who can knock down shots. How good athletically is a guy who's ranked sub 100 in his class. A.) Not enough to forgive throwing up the bricks that we see.

You cannot continue to keep recruiting 3 star "athletes". They're not good ball players. Nor is this staff good at putting them in a position to succeed.

wrong. it is headed somewhere... down the toilet. Bad offense, bad conference etc.. after watching this offense year after year is it a wonder why fans cant get excited and fill up 5/3?

exactly... you need a few athletic guys to develop over the years but not a whole team of them...however i dont think the offense is helping them either

Tough game to watch. You don't win by having NO offense. We haven't had one for 2 years :( Nobody played well - NOBODY! Kilpatrick gets an Oscar for all the theatrics trying to draw fouls. Reminded me of a game last year where he lost the ball at midcourt trying to fake a foul. Fortunately, I can't remember which game
I once foolishly said we wouldn't get blown out and/or embarrassed by anyone.
I will eat crow on that statement. Not only that, but I do not believe this will be the last ugly display. I could go on, but why? I will still watch every game to the end unlike the so-called fans who departed with 5 minutes remaining (or more), and still proudly where my Bearcats tee shirts. But, it's going to be a long season, I'm afraid.

Correct, the offense is killing them. The scheme is horrible and doesn't get anyone into the game and doesn't ever create easy shots. Lawrence has a ton of talent but Mick can't figure out how to use him. Hell, right now he doesn't know how to use SK. I love SK but there is no way in hell he should ever be running point. His ball handling skills are below average for a wing player.

I want to see a line up of Caupain, Sk, Thomas, Lawrence and Jackson. Bring Johnson and Rubles off the bench and go 7 deep unless you have foul trouble.

UConn, I believe.

Jackson's ass should be planted on the bench. He kills this team. I said this when he was beating up against sisters of the poor and it's come out in full force as soon as they started playing good competition. He isn't good at all and has the lowest bball IQ of anyone I can ever recall watching.
