Fair points, defiantly.

As for the two bold points.
1st - I could care less, as a fan, about what these athletes do in their lives. They are given a great opportunity... I am very glad that this current group has taken their opportunity in a positive light. As for the past, who havent, thats their choice. If they would like to throw away there career and potential life more power to them.

2nd - UC program has been changed for the better (in regards to academics and off the court issues). However I do not believe you can say that holds true for on the court. UC was a powerhouse, constant top 25. In time they will be back, but not yet.

The program was in terrible shape when Mick got here. Look at WVU now, all there players are getting suspended and arrested. None of that is happening here, UC has win 20 games and has been mentioned in ESPN multiple times. He is our programs savior.

The reason why it is important to me that the program and therefore the University is viewed positively nationally is that, as an alum, it is important that the perception of the school is as good as possible. It helps to attract the best students and therefore elevates many programs the school has nationally. It helps all of us with degrees from the University. When the school had a bit of a bum rap because of the basketball program, did that cost anyone from getting a job? I doubt it but it may have kept a student from outside the Cincinnati area from coming to the school. Over time that can hurt the academic prestige of a university. You may not think there is a connection between the basketball program and how a school is viewed academically, but I would disagree. Think of any schools that allow substandard students in because they are great athletes (like the SEC minus Vandy). Do you think of Alabama or Auburn or LSU as good academic schools? Now look at Vandy or Northwestern. They don't have many player issues and they recruit different student athletes because of their standards. Those are schools with great academic reputations across the country. UC is never going to be in line with Vandy or Northwestern and thankfully, UC will win a lot more than those schools. The point is that perception of athletic programs can hurt a schools perception as well.

Yancy Gates and Rashad Bishop have been suspended. Alvin Mitchell was suspended. Suspending a player is not indicative to whether the coach is a good coach. Both Huggins and Cronin have standards for their programs that kids have to adhere to. If they don't, they will be suspended. It really isn't that hard to play for either one. Play hard. Give 100% effort all the time. Play for your team. Do that and you won't have any problems with Huggins or Cronin or any other coach in America for that matter.

I don't know if you are Ralph or merely Ralph's clone but statements like the one above do nothing but stir people up. Those comments bring nothing to the conversation at all. They are pointless.

How many players have been arrested under Mick, Zero. At WVU there have been multiple. Mick has made this one of the better programs, despite great talent. Comparing me to Ralph was a great compliment, thanks.

It is Bearcat NTS. Seriously.

Trolling once again.

Huggins has been able to win at WVU because John Belein left him a stacked house. This is the last year Belein's recruits will be around, next year Huggins will only have his recruits to coach. WVU is in big trouble starting next year.

Oh my God, now he is talking to himself and answering back. What a show!

Ralph Bob Huggins wins because he's a helluva coach. Stop stirring the pot. You've become a major distraction.
