*slow clap* How do I rep this?

Even if X wins that does not make it clear that X is a better team than UC, all that says is X won a game that night.

Last year Georgetown beat Duke bad, with President Obama watching the game. Yet somehow, Duke won the NCAA Tourney and Georgetown did not.

It sounds like a cop out, but this is 100% truth. UC won in Mick's first year. They weren't better than Xavier. Xavier twice beat UC when UC was number 1 in the country and they weren't the better team either time.

The simple truth is we already know who the better team is to this point in the season. When the line is released, UC will be a pretty big favorite for a reason, and its not because books like to give money away. All of that said, it also doesn't guarantee a UC win. A 10 point favorite wins about 85% of the time. That means 15% of the time or so, an inferior team wins.

What on earth are you talking about/quoting me for?

Mick had legitimate reasons for excuses. Mack really doesn't. He took a partial qualifier that everyone knew wouldn't be eligable. Redford did hurt some. His freshman class has been unproductive so far.

Exactly. I think Xavier fans were the only ones surprised by Martin being ineligible. Everybody else knew the kid had some transcript issues coming out of high school, especially being at Lawrence North. So I don't view Martin being ineligible as a "bad break" for Mack and Xavier.

Yeah Redford injury is unfortunate but injuries happen to all programs. It's something you have to deal with.

Time to get some things straight. 1- Xavier owns this city- and has for years.

Somebody had to grill you so it might as well be me.

This bolded statement was hilarious no matter the outcome of the game. UC gets 75 percent of the attention in the city and they deserve to. They are the city's team. We own the city and always will. It is the Indiana v Butler argument. No matter what happens, it is always going to be a hoosier town.

What a great day to be a UC fan!

Xavier's season is completly ruined.

...why? I think X has just as good as a shot at making the tournament then UC (even if it meant X had to win 3 games in 3 days...they have done it twice already) Big east is brutal this year (the top teams are down, but the bottom teams are better) finishing in top 8 will be tough.

There ia a long way to go and a brutal stretch awaits. Stay humble my friends. In our league you can be 2-0 one week and 2-4 the next.

Every one knows that if X loses to UC their season is totally ruined.

Amen brother!! X is no measuring stick, UC pulled out the whooping stick and beat the Mousekies as ugly as their women!

haha-i know xavier isnt the measuring stick. Just giving ralph a hard time....though, theralph did come on and call for Mick to be coach of the year right after the game......tries to act like its no big deal then after the w he says his coach deserves coach of the year because of it---are you kidding me ralph!? Talk about someones superbowl!!

I posted 2 weeks ago Mick should be considered for National Coach of the Year.

Losing to UC completely ruins XU's season.

wow- Im just impressed at how much you respect Xavier. 2 weeks ago you said he should be considered- after the Xavier game you said "Mick for coach of the year"-- that game must have pushed it over the edge.

Dude- I am a xavier fan and even I dont know anyone that holds that much respect for the Muskies- much appreciated though.

Then again- over the past 5 years you have been a mick supporter- all he needed was time. Though when Xavier hires Mack and gets them into the sweet 16 his first year you say "bad hire" Did you think X was better then a sweet 16 team last year? Please explain this. Mick 4 years no tournament-great hire. Mack 1 year- sweet 16. bad hire....lol, I guess thats just the expectations you have of both programs?

Mack was a very bad hire, Boblinski blew it, every year Mack coaches X will get worse, X hiring Mack will turn out the same as Michigan hiring Rich Rod.
