Titus Rubles

That's what I mean by his lack of finesse - he drives strongly but them slams the ball against the backboard such that there is no way it's going in. So much for all the bunny drills he's done since he was a kid.

One thing to remember about Rubles is that he grew 5-6 inches in JUCO alone. He is probably still trying to get used to being so tall.

While I hoped for rubles to have an instant impact, as with a lot of JUCOs, it sometimes doesn't click till their senior year.

So, I will wait until 10 games in next year to really see what type of player Rubles is.

Rubles thinks too much instead of just playing and using his athletic gifts. A guy that athletic should be dunking the ball not trying to lay it off the glass. He gets past his guy and then stops and has no clue what he's going to do. He needs to just go once he gets by and either finish or get fouled, or pull up for a short jumper. He and Shaq both have the balls skills to get in the lane and hit short jumpers. As I've said for weeks that is one way to get points in the paint with having a go to big. I wish TRub would understand the impact he'd have on the team if he'd play within himself and do that stuff consistently.

Rubles, Shaq, and Sanders need to find the confidence to become more asssertive and less tentative. I wonder if this year's team has some chemistry / leadership issues. I get the sense the new guys coming in particularly Morman and Caupain will not be shy and come in attacking.

Its sad to watch guys like him settle for layups. Where is that mentality and physicallity that Mick learned from Hugs and Rick... I want guys to shatter the backboard. Im so sick of watching our weak ass bigs being lazy and laying it up on the glass! Even when they have no one around they still lay it in.

I totally 100% agree, they all need to be more agressive offensively, the fact that they arn't so agressive and worried about turning it over or taking a bad shot actually hurts our offense. Guyn is getting bettter at it, he's hit a 3 in 5 straight games now....
