I agree with everyone who isn't happy with our play. It was really bad for the second half. I will say that Depaul hit a lot of tough shots and hit many 3's.

Winning is nice though. It can help the guys gain some steam.

I would have rather them not make the same mental mistakes they have been making for years. And maybe make a free throw for a change. Dude it was DePaul, I wasn't just expecting a win...I was hoping maybe they put a full game together and wanted to see how Yancy reacted. I guess he is more content laughing on the sidelines and flashing the peace sign when the camera catches sight of him.

Don't care. I am not going to concern myself with complaining because they did not win by enough. I have never seen any other fan base act this way towards a win. As Lance McAlister tweeted today:

"LanceMcAlister If UC had the equivalent of Extra Innings on WLW....the callers would be lined up to complain they didn't win by enough and almost lost."

Cincinnati fans suck. It baffles me that so many are never happy with a win. EVER.

Agreed 100%. I am happy we won, I just wish I didnt have to pull out my hair the final min of the game for us to win!

Anyone complaining about UC winning by only 3 should take note that WVU only beat DePaul by 2 and on Saturday at Louisville, Louisville after trailing most of the game only beat DePaul by 4.

What would have been an appropriate win margin to satisfy you? I guess for some people if you're not bitching you're not trying.

My guess is that WVU and UL fans were just fine with their narrow wins over DePaul. Most UC fans as well I assume.

Ha get real, Im sure huggs was thrilled over their win, just as much as Mick was tonight. We were up 15 at halftime and completely collapse, just like the past two seasons. This should have been a blowout win, but hey a wins a win right? Yep, your right, winning is great. However if you watched that game and dont have serious concerns about this team you clearly dont understand the game of basketball.

Yawn. I state the obvious. Take the blinders off. This team doesnt look very good right now. Beating Depaul is not the ultimate goal for this team, work needs to be done to reach the ultimate goal.

-28 made baskets tonight. 19 of them were assisted. Passing the ball to the right spots for easy baskets is not what I would call stupid basketball.

-2nd half defense was not as good as the first. Give DePaul credit for making 6 of 8 threes and shooting lights out the entire half.

-Collasped? That's your take. Needed to be better at the line but they did get two defensive stops in the last 1:30 that allowed us to kill clock and ice it at the line. Make the FT and its a 8-10 point win.

-DePaul is an improving team with a bad record. Ask WVU and UL is DePaul was that terrible. They play hard and had a great shooting night. If they dont shoot it like that it is the 15-20 point win that you so desire.

-Somehow if this team scored 90 points and won by 30 you'd complain that the walk-ons didn't finish. The team played hard and did enough to win a league road game.

-Yancy sucked in the 2nd half. See, we can agree on something.

Simply not true. As a fan I am allowed to post thoughts. Hence a message board. If UC plays poorly I will more then likely post the problems I see. If UC wins and plays well ill post the good. That can be seen with all my posts. Tis the life of a fan.

Its clear that you go out of your way to be critical of the team and, in particular the coach.

Of course it's ok to not be overjoyed by tonight. But, if I were to look at only your posts, I'd have to assume that DePaul won by 20 tonight.

Hmm guess UC hasnt played all that great as of late.... Fact.

As for the coach. Not sold on Mick. Dont think anyone should be. Yet hes got my support. No NCAA, that support will be dwindled.

I highly doubt that. If they were- thats pathetic. Its one thing to be happy you escaped- (vs lose)but no one should be fine with a narrow win over DEPAUL

Why does margin of victory matter so much to you guys? The goal is to win. That's all. Should they have played better in the second half? Yes they should have!! But they won. Again, some of you confuse happy with winning versus happy with the way the team's playing. I'm estatic to win but recognize the issues the team has. The bottom line is that the Cincinnati Bearcats are 19-5 and have matched their win total from a year ago with 7 games remaining. That is all that matters.

This is the only city in the USA that complains when it's teams win. For goodness sake let's move on to the next! Please realize another team plays as well and has an outcome on the game.

As ugly as the win was, UC is not the only Big East team to struggle against the Blue Demons. West Virginia also survived a last-second shot to win by two and Louisville escaped with a 4-point win last weekend.

I think LL is fair in his posts. What I don't like from some posters is that the negative comments over shadow the wins. That's where I have issue.

i.e. "Yeah, we won but we're going no where with Cronin!" If everybody sees all these limitations from the team and UC has won 19 games in spite of them, he must be doing something right.

After the much needed and important St. Johns win, "If St. Johns had hit their ft's we wouldn't have won" That's part of the game. Just as last night UC didn't hit theirs. You're not going to be perfect on most nights. The goal is to win. When criticism and negativity become bigger than the wins, and it does for some on here, there is an issue with the fans and not the team.

For once I'd like the wins to be more of a focus than the negativity. How do you expect recruits and parents to see the program in a positive light when you won't? Negativity hangs like a cloud over the program and it's not the players or coach that creates it. It's the fans.
