I think if UC beats St. John's Sunday the game against UofL will be a sellout or very near. At least 12,000. I seem to recall ticket sales were pretty strong for that game a month or so ago.

Sure, the fans will be there for UCONN and Louisville, but they always are. UC needs the fans there for teams like St. Johns and South Florida too. Fortunately (or unfortunately for this argument's sake) UC doesn't have any games against mediocre teams at home after the St. John's game. I would be willing to bet anything if UC was playing Providence at home and had a 3 or 4 game winning streak going into that game, there still would only be 6,000 people at the game.

For how big the game is - it should be a sell out. (granted the noon start time sucks)

I'll be there with at least 1 other, hopefully I can corral 2 or 3 more friends to go to the game. This I believe could be the turning point in the season win or lose so we need the crowd to be loud!

I'm talking about the UofL game. I don't expect the St. John's game to be anywhere near a sell out. I'll say, 9,500.

My mistake- I knew what you meant I just worded it wrong. I meant to say- the St. John's game should be a sell out with how important it is.

You can't speak for all the fans coming back. That is why you can't follow through on it. I think even if UC wins the next 3 games, fans will still not come back and they will still find excuses that UC didn't win by enough.

Are you even reading the thread? Where did I speak to all the fans coming back? I said fans would be more focused on the wins than the negativity when they beat good teams.

But I do find it a bit ironic that you apparently think that I can't speak for all fans so I shouldn't say that but in the very same post you say "I think even if UC wins the next 3 games, fans will still not come back and they will still find excuses that UC didn't win by enough." Oh, so now all of a sudden you can speak for all fans?

I guess you cannot take anything for granted on the road. Rutgers just beat Villanova on a 4 point play as time expired...

Tell you what: I promise you that if UC beats UL, Marquette, and/or Georgetown fans will be more focused on the wins. A winless Depaul team: not so much.

Ok, my bad you said more focused on the wins. Still something you can't deliver on. Fans will continue to bitch about something.

I don't speak for any fans but myself. I simply observe and judging on what I have seen out of Cincinnati fans, to say that they will focus on the wins is a bit ridiculous, no?

You guys arent fans.

Big road win for the cats

Sarcasm aside, every game in the BEast is big! Nine teams now have 4 or 5 losses from positions 3-12. It's about winning and playing the next game. That should illustrate to some how difficult this league is. Appreciate every win. They are hard to come by and anybody can beat you on a given night. JT3 said after the Syracuse game last night that his team had a 10 day span where they shot poorly. In that span they were 1-4. This league will eat you alive.

We need to close the thread.

Cats won a BE road battle! Nothing to discuss

I agree it's time to close the thread. Let's look forward. I know some of you simply want to slice and dice it but the bottom line is did you win or lose? They won. We've beat the ugliness of their second half play to death, let's move on. We'll ignore the depth and strength of the league they play in. It's all them. They're on the court alone. We'll ignore that Villanova loses on the road to Rutgers last night. We'll ignore that Syracuse scores 55 at home last night and goes over 5 minutes with 1 point. It's only the Bearcats and it has nothing to do with the league or competition they play. We'll ignore that in spite of how bad some of you say this team is that they are exactly 1 game out of third place. Yes, R2G let's move on and ignore everything other than the bashing.

Okay, for starters, it's incredibly hypocritical on your part. I'm simply observing and judging the same as you are. Second of all, if you actually took the time to read my post and see what I was responding to you may even have a better understanding of what I was saying. It's apparent that you didn't do this therefore are way off on what I was saying in the first place.
